You can French the ecm flush into the fender or fire wall or under the cowl by the glove compartment high away from water and mud if you french it flush to the fire wall you can put a cover plate over the ecm and put the vin over that

Heater is going in the 'glove box' space in this one. No room to French it into a fender that I can find with the big tires and all.

@@brennanmetcalf under one of the seats is the owner going to want a sound system like a sound bar like the tj high in the roll cage you can put the ecm in a closure with speakers and amp I’m sure you have something up your sleeve

@@chalinp4886 I don't think this one will get a big sounds system or anything. Remote mounting the ECM past the firewall doesn't sounds like any fun to me. That is a LOT of wires to run through the dash and around the cabin. I'm still pondering on it.....but space is no joke getting very tight in this thing.

@@brennanmetcalf yes I was thinking the same thing with the wire harnesses I think I seen a product called isis at sema that was a wireless bridge for the ecm and sensors to eliminate the wire harness but this was a few years back good luck

Under seat , or even to the actual bottom of the seat on a bracket. I would like to have a passenger side that folds foreward in mine. If it were on the bottom of the seat, it would be out of the way, easily accessible, and kept warm and dry with fart wind.

Smaller air filter then it might fit on the fender

I would rather relocate the battery to the interior than the ECM….if something has to go inside.

I try my darndest not to mount things to the fenders on these. It makes it so much easier to work on things when you can pull both fenders and not have to unhook anything else.
