i got one of my sisters to see it, thanks to my niece who has a decent cable package including NETFLIX and Disney+ ... and she LIKED #15! She had seen quite a few of the classic episodes but none of the episodes after the CLASSIC WHO era! :)

@@j.adickey2002 I love this, I love hearing fans getting their family/friends into checking out their interests, I hope they enjoy the episode! I’m going to show my parents 15’s Christmas special soon as I spoke to my mum over the holidays and she said they thought Ncuti seemed really fun judging from the trailer, which warmed my heart as I use to watch Doctor Who Christmas specials with my dad growing up :)

The Giggle was the first time I had seen Ncuti in anything, and I was mesmerized by his Doctor. This episode, I learned that if Ncuti cries, I cry. I wasn't emotionally invested in the Ruby gets taken as a baby concept until his tears started flowing and suddenly I was reliving when my son died 2 years ago and how broken I have become. Cathartic

You both are very kind. I appreciate the gentle words and hugs. I wasn't looking for sympathy, but you both reached out, I feel seen and comforted, so thank you. Honestly, I will always be broken now, but I am ok. I live differently than before, but it's not miserable. Hugs back and awkward high fives from Colorado 🫂🖐 I really was highlighting what an amazing actor Ncuti is by showing how he drew me in and made me relate so intimately. I'm so impressed with him.

Yeah.. i cried too.. when he said "may be i am the bad luck".. its my line.. its me.. anything goes wrong around me i always think may be i am the bad luck.. may be i ruined it.. DW was/is/will always my comfort place.. i dont have any tattoo but i eill get a tattoo of TARDIS.. afterall we are all an idiot with a blue box.. drofting alone in the universe.. we get some companions along the way but end of the day we are alone again.. but still we smile we enjoyy the new us.. thats DW.. hope you also find peace and "regenrate".. love.. ❤@@punkrockpollyanna7829

I’ve been a Whovian since the very beginning. I love the new Doctor, Ruby and her family; and I loved everything about this episode! They’ve brought back some of the quirkiness and fun of the original pre-reboot Doctors. I watched the whole episode with a big smile on my face, and I just watched your reaction video the same way. It’s not often that anything on television surprises and delights me, but this did. I’ll never forget the moment when I first saw Janis Goblin break into song (complete with her backup musicians). So glad I hadn’t seen any spoilers beforehand.

Davina MacCall hosts a real show alongside Nicky Campbell on ITV1 called "Long Lost Family" (& being Davina's 2nd involvement in DW for RTD they must be good friends) The show trys to find missing loved ones & reunite them & that's the direct reference here. It's a very clever way of giving exposition on Ruby that doesnt feel forced to the viewer, something Chibnall realy struggled with.

Can definitely recommend Good Omens, it's a blast. The humor is somewhat British at times, but that's a bonus imo.

Yep. The goblin king was practical. It took 5 people to make it functional. You can find out things like this by watching "Doctor Who Unleashed" (BTS on each episode).

Watched it on Christmas when it aired: 7/10 Definitely a fun episode, even though it didn't feel like a Christmas special and they could've done more with the Goblins and the Goblin King, but already Ncuti feels like the Doctor and I look forward to his first series. Also: 'A ladder in the sky, and you thought "Yeah, I'll give that a go babes!"' Is my favourite line in the entire episode

All world leaders should be made to watch his War Speech as well as the Here I Stand speech. No one could deliver them like Capaldi. No one. He is my Doctor, and I say that after 60 years of watching it.

Fan since the 80s. I have to admit, Matt, Peter, and Jodie all took a few episodes to get me comfortable that they were the Doctor. Nchuti had me by his second scene. I feel a lot better that we got past David’s awkward 14 episodes.

Loved it! Usually like my Doctors less ‘user-friendly’/more manipulative: Capaldi & Eccleston are my favourites of the modern era, McCoy & Troughton of the Classic. (People forget how very tricksy 2 could be) Saying that, Ncuti’s Doctor has an incredible energy that makes me thrilled to join him on this journey! Seriously, he has more charisma than should be legal!! He should have a future in films as a modern Cary Grant: charm & mavitas combined beautifully. Hope DW gets him for 4 seasons first! Great reaction - glad to see you’re back to enjoying DW! 💜💜➕🟦

All about the context of the word “Old” which the main context in this case is “someone who use to be a fan” but during my rewatch going forward I may consider titling my videos as “Ex Fan” until I finally catch up on the series 🤔

It all depends on your perspective - everyone relates to things being ‘old’ from their childhood. Been a fan of DW since I was pre-school/reception age, so for me it was the mid ‘70s, but ‘old’ can be a fan from Hartnell to Whittaker depending upon their perspective

As for Ruby singing, it was established, during the montage of her unlucky days in London, that she was part of a band. That was a great set up for that pay off. I imagine that is not going to be the last time we see her sing. The works of all the companions since 9 have always come back. Ammy using her kissogram clothes to pretend to be a cop, Martha being an actual Doctor, Donna's secretarial knowledge solved more than a few issues... Now Ruby is a musician in a season where we have magic seeping into the real world. That begs for an occasional musical break.

the Goblin King reminds me more of Bill Pullman's Chet/Pile of Excrement from Weird Science. look him up. Mrs Flood = The Rani - Flood Water/Rain anagram of rain Rani. :)

Loooved this Christmas special. Ncuti might be one of my new favorite doctors too, just oozing charisma. Also, definitely check out the last season with Jodie. And the special before that season, for reasons. ;) I just finished it yesterday. And I loved it all. Some things were a bit cheesy, but an overall great story!

Great channel and reaction. The reason Good Omens is so good is that it's based on a book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, two of the best authors ever. I've tried watching Rick and Morty but the charactes seem so whiny and annoying that I just can't enjoy it. I much prefer animated comedies like Futurama or Lower Decks or maybe even Bojack Horseman.

I know this is a little bit of a stretch but I think the baby is Ruby's. On the roof she screams give me back MY baby. She's not the baby's foster mom, Carla is. I'm a bit mixed about Mrs. Flood. First I thought she might be River (Flood, Pond, River) but the actress is not credited in any more episodes. Now I think Mrs. Flood was just used to information us (that audience) that the weird blue box is called a Tardis, because they never say it in the episode and this is supposed to be a sort of restart of the show and the new audience needs to know what the heck it is. RTD just wants to mess with us because we all start to speculate.

Mrs. Flood will be in the full series in some capacity. Anita Dobson let slip in Feb. that she "might get pulled into some adventure" or something to that effect if I remember right. And I forget what channel in the UK was talking about her, but they said they confirmed she does show up at least in one more episode, possibly more.

He acts the same age as his teenage co-star. Dancing about in a disco is not something the Doctor does. She is holding back what little potential he has. His voice & accent don't work at all, but that's always been the case for Nu-hu Doctors.

Dr Who is getting sillier, more ridiculous, effeminate, and boring. This isn't even Dr Who anymore. The acting is good, but once again it's cartoonish logic and lacking any gravitas like it used to. Make it up as you go and just add flamboyant scenes for fake kudos. This is a Disney musical for extroverts with Dr Who slapped on it.
