In this video, we share we went on our Day 1 of two that we had in Yellowstone National Park. We chose to do the popular parts on the south end because we had our family with us that had never been there before. It is important to see the Old Faithful and Geyser Basin area when you're on your first trip to Yellowstone. We share some tips and experiences in the Old Faithful that we did with small children.
We are a family of 4 who love to travel. In 2019, we bought a 30 ft. travel trailer and decided to make our dreams happen by getting out on the road. Since then, we have upgraded to a 39' Fifth Wheel Mid-Bunkhouse and a 2018 Ford F-350 Diesel and are loving the upgrade for our family. We have always LOVED traveling and now seeing our world on the road has given us opportunities to see and make more memories as a family. We are teachers and are blessed to have the same "vacation" schedule, so we make the most of it with our kids by being both weekend warriors and by "school schedule" traveling--We call ourselves summer-timers. We hope to share what we learn while exploring this beautiful world around us and inspire you to get out and see it too.

If you haven't already checked it out, the Specimen Ridge Petrified Tree hike is a lesser known, yet fun hike. It's north and east of Tower Junction headed towards the Lamar River Valley area. Good stuff! Lots of wildlife in the Lamar too! (Don't pet the big fluffy types... they either run you over or eat you... lol!)

We haven’t done that hike yet but we will keep it in mind for the future. We love Lamar Valley as it’s our favorite wildlife viewing area. It’s one of Wilson’s favorites and there is so much to see there. This trip was more about helping Wilson’s brother and his family see all they could in just a few days time. Excellent video!! We would love to go back! Very exciting you got to be there with family! We loved the lodge; breakfast buffet there was the best! We too did Old Faithful first lol then we did the lower loop and stopped at all the stops lol as the day went on it all got more crowded

Thanks so much! Unfortunately, Old Faithful Inn was still running short staffed and only had quick, to go food when we were there but I’m sure their meals are great. It does get real busy the later you are there and then the crowds thin out after 6:00. Thanks for watching friends! ~Wilson & Kelli

Loved visiting Yellowstone but I had issues with the elevation! Seaside dwelling people beware of elevation sickness! I was exhausted all the time! Thank you so much for sharing your visit and the tips!

Our family who drove out there on a pretty quick route definitely had trouble with the elevation. During this video, when we stopped and watched Old Faithful, we were dealing with my niece having a nose bleed. She was having trouble with those since she got out there. Thanks for watching! ~Kelli
