Recipe:⠀
• orange peel⠀
• 1 sugar cube (or 1 tsp. sugar)⠀
• 5 dashes angostura bitters ⠀
• 2.5 oz. whiskey⠀
• 1 cherry⠀
⠀
*If you don’t have bitters, substitute with some freshly squeezed orange juice⠀
⠀
I found this drink more of my taste after stirring in the sugar more and letting the ice melt a few minutes!⠀

Just a few things that could be improved: -In order to flame de peel you need to squeeze it on top of the flame, so that the oils catch fire while falling into the glass. -If you are going to use the traditional sugar cube instead of a syrup, add a tiny bit of soda water in order to better dissolve it before adding the whiskey. -In this video A LOT of cherry juice dropped into the glass. Just like the bitters, it all comes down to personal taste but both of those things (5 dashes) seemed a bit to much for me.

Just a little tip: you're supposed to fill your jigger all the way to the top, jiggers like the one you use get much wider towards the top meaning that you're actually pouring quite a bit less liquor than you're supposed to be pouring if you leave the top empty.

Well that is an old fashioned. It's just that sugar doesn't quite dissolve in alcohol and very slowly in ice water. You might want to add a splash of water or club soda for the sugar. Flaming the orange is just a fancy thing but I would definitely take that drink since she used my favourite bourbon and angostura bitters.

Just a heads-up, but the way you flame an orange peel is that you put a flame in front of the orange, then express the oils through the flame. No fire should come in direct contact with the peel itself, as it is the oils you want

5 dashes of angostura?! Those must be some very small dashes. normally it would be two. After muddling the sugar cube you should probably first add the whiskey so it can better dissolve. But overall nice and always cool to watch😄👍
