I was able to get a batch for retail and it was between 2 and 3... went for the 3 so I am hopeful. The reviews on these are all over the place so we will see. Cheers

Oh man, I’m really surprised by this! I have Batch 2, and I’ve loved it so far. I get this faint maple syrupy breakfast type taste to it. I do agree it’s drying but I don’t get the same bitter oak to detract from the taste. The nose I think is meh but the taste and finish I really like.

Kroger set up a display for the OF 150th Anniversary but stocked it with the whiskey row series. Have not seen any of the 150th bottles here. I stay with 1920 it is great for $60.

A suggestion for future blind tastings. Mix up your flights so that you're not influencing one another. One flight should be pours A,B,C,D or some random order...and the other fight should be a different random order. That way your pick is based solely on your impression.

We've done that in the past and it's a complete disaster for editing and for people to follow. Sean and I don't often place things in the same order because we don't generally care if we agree on whiskey 😂

Is there a way to know the batches? Or do you just assume the year is the batch (2018 was when batch 1 was released and purchased then, 2019 batch 2, etc.)

All batches of 150 were released at the same time. It's a 2020 release. On the bottom of the label it says Batch 01/03 or Batch 02/03 etc. The proofs are pretty dang close too, they are just different blends.

Got an OF SiB barrel strength 128.8 proof locally for $80. That’s unusual for price gouging LA area. Haven’t seen the 150’s yet. 1920 is good but not as good as the barrel strength.

Still eat strawberries with sugar. Cut them up, put in a bowl, sugar on top, put in fridge. Enjoy sweet delicious berries with syrup juice to sip on for days to come. OF1920 is delicious too. Just sayin.

I might be over thinking it... but I don't think you guys like brown forman as much as u think. 1920 blinded against other whiskey brands does poorly in ur videos I've seen. (It does poorly in my own blinds) The first time through u guys seemed to like 1920 better than these $150 old foresters before going back through. You should put this batch 3 150 against some other 150 dollar bottles next and see what u think.

The first way through we actually had A in first place (it didn't make the video as it was just us chatting behind the scenes. The blinds we put 1920 are usually 100~ bottles rather than other 50~ bottles because of the way that it swings up. Old Forester President's Choice and King of Kentucky have crushed in blinds muliple times and woodford batch proof and woodford wheat have done the same. I think we hold OF 1920 in such high regard the things we decide to blind it against aren't always fair. Batch 3 will go into our end of the year blinds for best whiskey of the year so it'll definitely be up against some MUCH better bottles and I'd guess it doesn't do incredibly well in there but we shall see I guess! Cheers man!

I think Brown Forman is one of the good ones but I guess time will tell if they decide to go that route! As of right now there's no speak of it and Jackie has been incredible when it comes to thinking about the consumer.
