Born in Jamaica to a Canadian father who is from Sunnyvale Trailer Park, and a Jamaican Mother, Barry McCockiner is a somewhat new face in the hockey world who's gaining knowledge every season as he now has 7 years of experience in management. Including an ALIH Championship in his second season in Japan.
After two seasons with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye, Barry shocked Joe Napoli as he handed in his resignation after his contract extension was triggered only weeks earlier, and he headed off on a plane to Japan where he took over the Nikko Icebucks and lead them to an ALIH finals appearance and a championship the following season! He's since spent 2 seasons with the WHL's Vancouver Giants and he's hoping for a WHL Championship soon!
The 2030-31 season is well underway, we've got the WHL Regular Season ahead of us as we are favoured to win or at least make a run by the media. How do we play in our next 17 games after a very meh start? Watch to find out!
