OLD HARRY GANT NASCAR HAULER FOUND - 1989 ANDY PETREE RACING HAULER - NOW AT BOWMAN GRAY & CARS TOUR

I had seen the big yellow and black hauler at Bowman Gray stadium that shows up carrying Amber Lynn's race cars. When I asked her dad, Ron Burchette, to tell me about the history of that hauler, I couldn't believe what he told me about who it belonged to before he acquired it.
This hauler is the last hauler that was used by Andy Petree Racing to haul the NASCAR Winston Cup Cars that Harry Gant drove; this hauler was green and white and was logo'd up with the Skoal Bandit Racing logos.
Ron picked up the Hauler and the Freightliner tractor with it in 2016 from Jim Bown - another NASCAR family name - and he spent a year getting it cleaned up and running.
You can see traces of the Skoal Bandit Green scattered around the Hauler and they tell me on the inside it pretty much still looks the same as it would have in the 90s when it was used as the Skoal Bandit Hauler.

Brings me back to when I use to drive a FLD was early 2000. Some of the best looking trucks on the road to this day. Such nostalgia in its own right ❤

Really wish it was still as exciting to see a nascar hauler as it was back then. Every ride was a badass, beautiful large car in its own right. And they were driven by absolute outlaw truckers. I’d love to have that old fld

Have you seen my recent videos on the current haulers? There’s a whole playlist! There’s some dogs but most of them are bad ass. We’ll get to know more of the drivers in the near future.

@@weirdfan88 Eh.. I was around in the 90’s in the trucking industry It’s nothing compared to what it use to be. But that’s probably my entire problem. I’m comparing something modern day to something in the absolute Hayday of nascar. Still cool and yes some teams have at least went back to running pretty 389’s over junk cascadias but for the most part they are all just leased trucks from paccar financial. Nothing special really.

@@chris8video I’ll check them out maybe I’m just not seeing them on the road. All the ones I see are just normal old cascadias and at most a leased 389 from paccar with a nice polish job. The trailers are still pretty killer I’ll give ya that

Hey Chris. I have never seen someone do a video like you did here. I remember Harry Gant he was very quiet and stuff. But you can see on the side of that hauler Skole Bandit. Thanks for the tour bro.
