Күн бұрынHappy 2024!! New Years Day ride January 1st, 2024. Joe Ferguson, the owner of Revolution Cycles has been doing this annual ride for 18 years now. This was my first time joining them. This year the ride was from Dutzow just past Marthasville and back on the Katy Trail here in Missouri. We all left at the same time and everyone rode at their own pace and distance. I ended up riding a little over 8.5 miles.

That looked like a rails to trails path! Old railroad routes make great bike paths. I have three rides in this week on the fatty. Just from home so far for cardio workouts. Waiting for some snow so the groomers can get out there. We have a state park here in north Idaho where they groom a couple fatbike loops as well as XC skiing trails. Other places to ride as well. Had to put the summer tires back on but we might get some snow tonight so I can get the studded tires back on and have some real winter fatty fun! Happy New Year, Jen!

Correct you are @melwestlake8539!! Old Railroad routes do make some good trails, the Katy Trail here in Missouri is 240 miles long. Happy New Year and I hope you get that snow you're wanting 😉

Hey @scoro3, thank you for checking out my videos! This is an old railroad track turned into a trail. There are some really nice section that run right along the Missouri River. I hope 2024 is good to you and your loved ones!

Happy New Year to you sir. I use wool cycling gloves over long fingered summer gloves below 0c, but I do realise 'cold' where you are is entirely different to cold in north UK. 😆

Best wishes for this new year, brother, I wish you courage and good health for this sporting year, lol since you plan to do at least one hour of Fat biking per day. I don't know how old you are, but that's really brave of you. Your Fat bike is beautiful and I like the color. I will be 61 years old on February 13 and I continue cycling, but I do less and especially less racing bike because around the village where I live I have a lot of long and steep hills, so with the Fat electric bike, even if I pedal energetically, I don't get tired, just a little out of breath at times when I press hard on the pedals to help the motor but above all to gain autonomy, lol! and barely stiff. I also do a lot less brisk walking between. And then as I lost my little darling on July 13 following lung cancer which spread, and we celebrated her 59th birthday on July 11, she was my other half and we were so close and complementary that I am devastated and I no longer have the taste for much especially since I find myself alone in my country house, I am not yet retired, I have to work at least 3 more years and I don't work regularly, so it's not easy. I wish you good luck and all the best for this new year. Friendly greetings.

Happy New Year! I have a 2024 goal of riding the Katy point to point in 3 days. I'll be on a gravel bike, not mountain bike and certainly not fat bike! Kudos to you for getting out in the cold and best of luck in your daily ride challenge. Stoked to see that video in early 2025!

@@OldManFatBike only 80 miles a day. It's 240 miles and grades slightly downhill if travelled west to east, though it sure doesn't feel like it!
