It is a product Bill developed during his 60+ year career. It is the basis of all wet-on-wet painting. It allows him to mix his colors on the canvas rather than on his palette. In it's simplest it is white oil paint with extra oil in it. However, there is much more to it than that. Our Magic White for example has removed all the toxic chemicals and solvents that have stopped many folks from taking up oil painting in the past. We also add a crystal clear oil that will guarantee your paintings will never yellow or degrade over time. We have also added ingredients that will actually brighten your painting as it dries. And...we have added a touch of lavender scent to make your painting even more enjoyable!

Wow! Whole different approach with acrylics. Some acrylic artists have been successful with Bill's method, but the quick drying nature of acrylics requires some changes to make it work. I would suspect with acrylics you would not need to use Magic White™ since the power of MW is being able to mix your colors on the canvas. I'm assuming with acrylics, you need to have your colors ready to go and pre-mixed before applying them to the canvas. Perhaps some acrylic artists who have been successful with Bill's method could chime in.

+Alexander Art Is it possible to replicate Bill Alexander's paintings with Acrylic paint?

We have reports from some acrylic painters who claim to have used Bill's methods in their paintings. It's difficult to replicate Bill's techniques with acrylic due to the fast drying nature of the medium. Our suggestion would be to try and see if you can. A better suggestion would be switch to oils. ;)
