There is a huge police controll in Milan city centre, you can wear your rolex and jewels in peace..no problem but only in , as they call it in Milan,quadrilatero della moda...wich is strict the city center and ask your hotel which it is..I lived in Milan years ago..didn't have problem with my golden diamonds Rokex and diamonds ring....but not out of the center !!!! Of course we don't show off anymore like maybe years ago ...police are to be seen almost few meters away...if you don't feel safe and see a face around you don't like you put your hand in the pockets...best Rest. and hotels have Securities....We are having a lots of immigration the last 15 - 20 years ..that makes us going around discret to avoid bad situations.!!
