Made sometime in the early 80s was this 1/8th scale 4wd nitro buggy. This is the kyosho landjump first generation. I'm glad to have found an RC that's this old and still a complete vehicle.

Looks like the first version, got the metal wheels and painted yellow in the factory photos. Has been one of my dream RC models of the 80's, when I was a teenager. A totally distant dream back to have my parents spend money on something like that) Came over on on ebay about 5 years ago that was sold new in California, built, unpainted and never started) Missed a damper and one driveshaft, but I found some spare parts online later on, so it's complete. Finally got my dream car, but now don't dare to use it LOL, afraid of getting a scratch in it I guess) A shelf model. But never know, maybe I start it one day) Got a Fairlady 1/8 that was in rough well used shape. Plans to restore it. Not fully original, got a new set of aftermarket look-a-like rear tires and body, also got a modern pull start engine as the old one was worn out and gone. I plan to take it forsome runs when finished

That is great to hear. I'm thinking of restoring the landjump to have as a shelf model. I might end up driving it since it has already been well used. I wish kyosho would re-release some of their older nitro models.

The landjump was my first nitro rc. It was a pig to keep running but it was fantastic when it was.

They can be hard to find but it's a cool buggy to come across

@@speedstersports no, I only lost the air filter and was never been able to find it again. this car was very solid and took alot of abuse. We used to remove the front axles and drift with two wheel drive. It's insane
