This is the best buttermilk pie recipe I’ve found and I won’t make it any other way. It’s delicious because it’s not messed around with and no unnecessary things are added. This is the real deal, simply delicious pie I had as a child. Thank you for sharing this!

I never heard of buttermilk pie ,I made it like said and it was SO GOOD!

We make something similar called Egg custusrd pies. only difference is I don't use deep dish and we never used nutmeg. I'm going to try with Nutmeg next time. We're born and raised Metro Detroit but our family are in various parts of Georgia. I love your channel.

Chef We have never had buttermilk pie. Looks similar to my egg custard pie only more sugar and flour mixed in yours and buttermilk instead of whole milk. Sounds really good!

I made this pie today, Mother’s Day 2022, I didn’t see the nutmeg in the other recipe where you mixed everything with a plastic whisk. Mine came out brown on top, and you said it supposed to “jiggle” in the center. I baked on middle rack at 350 degree oven for 50 minutes. Great flavor. The little buttermilk pie’s in Walgreen’s are absolutely delicious. Try one next time. They’re usually by the cashier.

U are a Heaven's send! My moma died at an early age, and She was an Excellent cook! Unfortunately, I was the kid who was Always outside playing and my sister learned how to cook. Then, when I was ready to learn, she died! I Am grandmother now, but there are just things that I don't know how to make. And, my sister would not share moma's recipes...Long story(jealousy).
