Chicago is far behind on a lot of stuff compared to la. Chicago is so broken 💔 man. I thought it was bullshit but during the COVID their whole police department was exposed. It's sad. Chicago is still in the 70s in growth.

Yes...there were plenty Latino DJ and party crews through the 80s and 90s. Much of it bred from the house music scene that came up in the early 80s. Tons of flyers, house concerts, freestyle shows, dj, b-boy, b-girl battles, graff crews in those years. True, those shown here are white kids. Latino youth culture has always been overshadowed in Chicago. We hear a lot of it now because of politics and the DACA program. The kids shown here maybe got into because it was hip to pop pills and rave. But in the city streets, latinos got down with the sound without that shit. Don't get me wrong, all cultures contributed, but latinos put in heavy work in this era. "Jack Your Body....that Culito"

Not one comment agrees with the establishment media fucking narrative. Just people agreeing that fun is good. I experienced XL back in the day and only have fond memories. My kids will never likely experience what I felt and I find that quite sad.

Oh yeah I forgot they said that at the beginning lol if anything that type of dancing is the least amount of person to person contact dancing there is. Man Chicago news reporters were super late to the party going by that song bc where I'm from when that came out we'd been clubbing at techno clubs fr yrs but this report is making out this was a new phenomenon.
