Well yeah its the same meta chaos deck that he runs in most of his goat format videos. It is quite literally the deck that defined goat format's meta

These batch of games was my first time using Thunder Dragon so I didn't think too much about it tbh

Sorry dude but you can't do that, Horus would get destroyed and so would jinzo. You can't summon them later either, that's his effect. Unless you meant they were in the deck, not having them on the field at the same time. Still, it would be pretty cool if you could and just lock the opponent out.

Jinzo and Spell Canceller both equipped with Moon Mirror Shield , Forced Back in the back row, summon Holding Arms, Negate 1 monsters effect. No spells, no traps, no summons and can't be destroyed by battle.

I mean poly has never been all that good of a card. Only reason its run nowadays is cause the newer fusion archetypes either search it out and/or gain some effect from it(ie Guardian Chimera). But Metamorphosis needs a monster on the field with the same level, so unless you're bringing out like thousand eyes restrict you will end up using like 3 cards to tribute summon then Metamorphosis. Also it was called goat format cause everyone would run scapegoat since there was no real downside back then, the tokens could be used as tribute and didnt have the summon restriction originally so it was just a free 4 monster wall

@@peterwoo2659 Creature swap, brain control, snatch steal, premature burial etc etc etc. So many ways you toss a 5-7 star on the field. And you should look into the Goat extra deck. My example was Fusilier Dragon. A 7 star you can normal summon but it only gets halve it's attack, then meta it into Last Warrior. I'm just saying Metamorphosis is alive more in your hand then Poly. But I prefer yanking someone else's Jinzo for Ryu Senshi or BLS for Dark Paladin. But scape meta into restrict was the best deck. Which is where it gets the format name. Chaos number 2 earth/warrior beat down 3. And with no new cards...

@@davidgraham8518 Ok well creature swap and premature are still basically 3 card combos if you wanna metamorph them but I yeah cards like brain control and snatch turn it into a 2 card combo. Still at the end of the day in goat format tradition its a pretty specific combo but doesn't really have anything to do with point I was trying to make. What I was saying was that of course metamorphosis was a much better card than poly; poly has never been a very good card, like there is a reason why its a common card and metamorphosis was like an sr. Idk if you just didn't really read my comment all that well or what but the whole gist of it was me pointing out how poly has always been pretty obsolete and that you need to get a little lucky in order to use metamorphosis for only a 2 card cost

@@peterwoo2659 no.. Creature swap yea, which is why creature swap was never ever on par with change or brain control. The only reason to play creature swap was to get by the opponents monster and adding meta doesn't hurt that. But prematuring a monster from turns ago is a 2 card. Not to mention if you pitched it with all the discard for cost cards, damn near makes it free. Like thunder dragon into dark balter. I actually played Goat until Covid shut down my locals, they just never started goat back. Either way, it was in the top deck of the format for a reason. Your original comment was "useless" unless you scapegoat into restrict. My argument is it's a super powerful card. Brain control is at 3, all the ways to reborn monsters makes a bunch of 2 card combos. Nobody is saying it can't be more, but most the time you'll play 2 cards and have a strong monster effect on field. It's also on setting it up as a duelist. Also the effects you can get out the extra deck are insane in old yugioh. The only way you can play them all is Metamorphosis. I just don't understand how you think the monster you premature is part of the combo. It was a dead card in the graveyard. You play prem, then meta, boom done 2.

Although it delays the card it makes your deck smaller (though yes it is just card neutral) in this slower format. Can also bait removal onto it then activate it. That said no idea the worth of it in goats.

@@kyleconnelly1727 Def get the bait removal. But if you're in a top deck situation and you top deck Jar. You have to set it for a turn and then activate and that "delay" in activation could cost you the game. Upstart Goblin seems like a better choice than waiting for a turn. I played yuigoh hardcore from 04-07 and Jar was just not a card anybody ran. Maybe in certain decks it makes sense I guess.

@@ShadowEliteHD goat format has its own meta,since there is a strongest deck,variations of it and counters,people start playing jar of greed when you have many removals,then you got the solemn judgements into royal decrees,mostly its a chaos variant that wins out if you dont count luck,followed by warriors as counter into goat control,there are some funny aggro variants too aswell as unholy crap like empty jar and otk decks but its a cool format,people who likes to combo would love edison format since it features synchros but for old school players goat was the funniest and most relatable format since its kinda similar to the yugioh series pre gx and the first time the game tried to balance after the first banlist...till today there are still new stats figured out and its more attractive to play IRL like magic commander format since it has its perk of a limited card pool,which is availble to all after the reprints in low cost

How is modern fun? Passing numerous minutes seeing your opponent combo and passing only for you to get all your cards negated or even worst, your opponent having a main phase 3

@Dave_Haro modern yugioh you can tell when you're lost from your opponents combo set up initially/ if you have no disruptions and whether you have any going second cards. You can literally surrender if you see them popping off and your hand sucks.

GOAT format didn't have much variation, pretty much everyone used the same cards. Actually him using HEROs is more unique than 90% of GOAT matches that Rhyme has uploaded.

Clearly you have not played GOAT format at all. Card pool was mad small to begin with, and there wasn't a whole ton of Variation in the slightest since everyone used the same card available. Since Jay here is using HEROES (Which was NEVER EVER USED AT THAT TIME) is the only Variation you can get away with. TLDR: Tell me you don't play GOAT format without telling me you don't play GOAT format.
