Credit goes to Curtis Hughes and Vince for letting him do this to one of his top talents. One of the most significant debuts. Since no other talent had done this to "invincible" Taker up to that point.

Mr hughes debuted before this, he beat for instance the kanikaze kid (1-2-3 kid). Mr hughes debuted around week after wrestlemania 9. He had a small feud with kamala before he feuded with taker. To bad he got fired before summerslam 93.

Vince just never forgave Warrior after he suspended him for threatening to no show Summerslam due to money he was owed in 1991. 4:11 and 5:27 are my favourite parts. Bill Moody may have been a great guy (and true wrestling fan) in real life, but I didn't care for the Paul Bearer character. I bet it was Moody's idea to take these bumps to put the Mr. Hughes character over -- unfortunately Mr. Hughes was about as skilled a wrestler as George Gray (One Man Gang / Akeem) -- that is to say completely hopeless. He didn't even stick around long enough to do the job on TV to the Undertaker. Hughes was another worthless character that had no business being on WWF TV in 1993.

Well i liked both mer hughes and akeem. Hughes was pretty cool and had some moves. He got Fired because he went to a sexclub. To bad, would have been better to have hughes vs undertaket at summerslam 93 as it was meant to be. Think gonsales looked scary to, even if he was very limited. Could have used him in royal rumblr and survivor series matches.
