OMG...Florida Breakz are the best...Friction and Spice, Baby Anne, DJ Icee/Icey...Firestone in Orlando and Barbarellas...those nights in 95-97 were absolutely mind blowing...you were there for the music and the vibe...people talk shit about Florida..but the music coming out of the Sunshine State during the 90s was magical

Saw Icey at least 10 times. Baby Anne too...got to meet them once..Icey was so cool. Baby Anne was a different story...lol. I still love their music! I miss those times...this music was regional...no one else had this sound, Fl breaks. Thank you Elijah!!! 💕💕

I was lucky enough to catch the tail end of this scene when I moved from New Smyrna Beach to Orlando in 1999. My Orlando friends were Glowstick masters and took me to another planet. Its a shame these new EDM kids don't actually Dance because that's part of what made the scene so cool.

Miami Breaks 93-2000 what a time to be alive and in the scene. Castle Park, Mars Bar, Fever, Warsaw, Salvation, Ft Lauderdale Edge, Casablanca, The Broward Theatre, Orlando Edge, Firestone, Beacham Theatre, Simon’s Gainesville, Ybor City Tampa. Florida was ground zero for the real rave scene. For those that were lucky enough to experience it and live to talk about it. Double stacked life!!! White 🕊 & Vicks inhalers.

From Tampa and my friends and I hit the clubs and raves all over the state back in the day ... I still love to listen to my countless Florida's breakbeats CDs...brings back so many memories. Maybe because I wasn't popping beans and was just enjoying the DJs, friends, strobes/laser lights and the dance.

Anyone here that went to Aahz on Saturday nights in O- town? I was there every weekend in 90/91. Also Simon's in Gainesville. I did some warehouse parties in Tampa. I once ended up back at my house and my mom came down at 7 AM to about 10 sweaty, smoky 20 year olds with pupils as big as saucers. She must have known we'd been flying all night. Never said a word.

🤢Will never forget the nights at malibu grand prix raves on full moons here in Miami‼️ Yeah there were better raves yet those were just memorable to me with the nos tanks vicks rooms the whole mini golf course open for blowing♾⬆️ up...I once saw someone dressed up as gumby stumbling around. A great chapter in my life. The scene in the mid to late 90s was the sh*t! Fantasy Ranch, Bean Fest, Blood on the Turntables at Masquerades, all the after hours spots Stingers, Serengeti's all the little places that came & went, the illegal raves, etc...

911 from 88-94 had the best DJ’s. Best music ever in there. There was a little club in Gainesville that played the same stuff in mid to late 90’s. DNA when it was on Nebraska and Bearrs was the bomb on Monday nights. Old wave. Until it went to Parthenon then it went downhill when it went downtown Tampa. Mon night. DNA N Tampa Tues. Channel Zero downtown St Pete Wed ladies night 911 Thur. Joe Dugans. Clearwater Fri. Barittz Clearwater Sat and Sun. 911. This was schedule for 1990-1993 Best music and fun ever in all these places! There was a small club on Fletcher as soon as you went east off 275 on north side. Anyone know the name of it?

Much love! I spent a bunch of time thinking about these old crates of records for a few months in 2016 to put a few of these sets of 20!year-old records - DJ sets together. Wanted to play them at a tempo that feels warm and relaxed for people to get perhaps the same feelings they had 20 years ago ... in a new way with the benefit of time for perspective

Have some friends up from Florida (live in Tennessee now) Most of us just turned 50. We have a Bonfire, our Wives or GF's, moonshine and vitamin E. Stories and Blessings of living in the Greatest Club Generation since 70's Studio 54. Thanks Heaps Elijah for spinning the Soundtrack of our Lives.
