"Yatai Ramen Kitaguni" in Higashi Omiya, Saitama Prefecture.
Opened a stall ramen in the same place for over 50 years.
The ramen stall closed due to the master's illness. However, it opened for the first time in 2 years and 2 months.
We closely followed the phantom ramen loved by the region.

店主の病気で一度閉店となったが２年２ヶ月ぶりに営業再開！！

At age 77 and after a surgery for a serious illness, this ramen stall keeper looks younger to me than the first man who said he has been eating at this stall for 40 years since age 6. Maybe the secret to longevity and looking younger than your age is to work hard and enjoy what you do. I wish him many more years of happily making ramen for his customers.

77세에 병환으로 2년간 투병하시고도 정력적으로 일하시는 모습을 보니 굉장합니다. 사장님에게는 저 장사가 단순히 돈이 아닌 돌아갈 자리였고 병으로 부터 이겨낼 수 있는 안식처 겠지요. 부디 원하시는 만큼 일 하실 수 있기를 바랍니다.

벌써 15년전.. 사이타마 도부동물원 가려했고. 하루 전 기차역 근처 호텔을 못 찾고. 지하철에서 내려서, 길들 헤메이다가.. 늦은 저녁에 우연히 먹어본 할아버지 라멘.. 제 인생의 행복한 1위 라멘이였습니다. 정말 마음까지 따듯해지는 라멘. 할아버님 건강하세요- ! 감사했습니다- ! 그립습니다- ! 행복들 오래 오래 함께 하세요.

Within walking distance from my house, we used to have a curry noodle stall manned by one very old lady and her daughter. The business was unbelievable and people queued and waited 2 hours just to eat the noodle. It was closed several years ago when the lady passed away. The son tried to take over but gone bust within 2 months. I am really happy for the old man. He cut down his workload but continue to serve his community. I wished him good health for years to come.

A well loved gentleman from so many generations young and old. He definitely reminds me of my grandmother who was also loved by everyone young and old in her hometown in Mexico and in the United States. Friendly, full of life, a gentle smile... *sigh* Good times well remembered growing up with her as her beloved grandson
