I always loved my TomTom Raider while riding my BMW R1100 GS motorcycle and even replaced the NiMH battery every three years - but navigation without time calculation was no longer possible after 04/7/2019. I thought about throwing my beloved navi on the electronic waste.... That's funny...I just brought out my old TomTom after not using it for YEARS and noticed the time was 12:00am, but it really WAS 12:00am so I didn't even notice the issue at first! Got that fixed thanks to you. Now if only I could find a maps archive somewhere so I could update those.

Thanks very much for this video. It worked on my dads TOMTOM Start. I was almost giving up on getting it to work and was about to throw it in the bin. Then found this fix. The TOMTOM site was a complete waist of time. None of the software could even see the TOMTOM start. :)

Thanks a million. I was having problems with my TomTom one, not locking on to satellites or taking forever to lock on. The patch worked a treat. As soon as I turn it on after patching, It locked on in seconds.

brilliant piece of work, I got tom tom xl for a very long time and i using it every day, but since tomtom xl time not functioning properly, i really thought buying a new one, but i dont want to throw a way my tom tom xl coz its working fine. so once again thanks a million times for this patch, i was searching for a long time to fix this bug, but now it solved.

I apparently have an older model and have tried this update and it worked great, it now displays the correct time...THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Great video. I've just dug my old Tom Tom xl out the drawer expecting it not to work due to the clock but it does. 🙂 It even gets a signal in the house. Only thing it doesnt do is when the clock is set it goes back to 12am.

Brilliant! Thank you! Just applied the patch to my TomTom XL 4ET03 and it worked perfectly. Great to have a back up when travelling abroad when mobile phone coverage/data could be an issue.

I just pulled out my old TomTom XL IQ and charged it. I tried the patch. It set the time correctly until I took it outside then it reset back to midnight. I tried copying the files over a second time just to make sure nothing was missed. Same result. I’m glad this fix worked for a lot of folks, but it didn’t work for me.

Wow, an easy 3 minute fix. A YT hack that actually works. Good on you. My Thomas Thomas One 4.3 XL now keeps correct time and gives proper estimates to the destination.

It worked for my Tom Tom XXL! Fantastic! Did it on my Macbook. The Tom Tom XXL is the best GPS ever, awesome large text. I've had all the later models, but the graphics and all the extra features on the late models are rubbish. I will stick with my XXL!

You make no mention of the WNRO fix for the later GL2 chipped devices. However I see someone has added the required file (\bin\glgps) to the ZIP you are offering. Most of the TomTom ONE IQ Routes models have the later GL2 chip. The TTConv fix only works for models using the GL1 chip. TomTom did include a WNRO fix for GL2 chipped models in NavCore v9.541 - but for most systems you only need to update one file - the \bin\glgps file - taken from that update - and included in your zipfile. As long as you already have at least NavCore v8.4 (listed as App version on the TomTom's Version page) you can just copy over the single glgps file to activate the WNRO fix on these devices. There is no need to install any of the other TTConv files. GL1 devices will ignore the glgps file - so its presence causes no problems. GL2 devices should ignore the TTConv fix as it checks for correct GPS chip before loading.

Great video! Eager to try on my One V4. Always amazed how this device from like 2007 can still be patched, run current maps, etc but was down due to this clock issue. Edit: seemed to work fine even if it has navcore 9.541 and 32mb ram!

Translation: It worked perfect. Now to find a new map of western europe. What a waste to throw away functioning devices. My new tomtom is not so fast as the old XL.

Works great and immediately with a Tomtom XL, serial code RS...! I still have some other models down in the "for parts"-bin, now I'm going to move them to the "for repair/patch"-bin. :)
