Hey buddy sense you have owned both kayaks, can you answer a question of mine? I have the Big rudder that goes on the new motor kayaks of Old Town. I was thinking about adding that rudder to my PDL 106 what is your thoughts on that?

Hey bud! Yeah, I looked at that too to help with turning but from what I’ve read, it doesn’t make a huge difference. I do have the xlarge rudder on my AutoPilot, but I haven’t noticed a substantial difference either. Also, if you plan to add a motor and keep your existing rudder for steering, it may be best to have the stock rudder so it doesn’t obstruct the motor.

@@WannaFishAllDay yes I've seen Newport just dropped a new motor as well. Was looking at it but then Bixby just dropped new battery to match that power and hour life, makes it a tougher decision for me now.
