They got the IP address of their acc, so basically it’s not stealing ur things, it’s stealing ur whole acc, and they could use something to change the ip so the person who had it originally won’t be able to get back in

@@hope4snickers697 your Sky account doesn't have an IP address, IP addresses identify devices on a network (like your phone) and are also harmless (if I told you my IP address, you wouldn't be able to use just that information to do anything to my account even if you could somehow reassign a new IP address to me). The only way to steal an account would be to get someone's google/apple app store email and password, but these guys can't get that info from you just by meeting you in-game, so don't worry. Just be careful where you enter in your info online, outside of Sky.

@@hope4snickers697 If people wanted, they could get your IP address off of your youtube comment alone. The thing is, IP addresses aren't useful. You cannot exchange files with just an IP. You can only really locate their network and even then, you can't modify anything on that network remotely without remote access software both downloaded and approved by the device admin on both devices. Unless TGC coded in a way to modify other other player's clientside files from player accounts, the whole "stealing items" thing is likely a hoax meant to deter players from getting cosmetics for free. If it was a genuine issue, TGC would have patched it out by now or at least made it more of a priority than patching out small idle animation bugs.

@@cringerealm7185 Oh! Well first make an account on your original device. I think you can do this by going into the settings of the game. Then you can log in on your other device, the new one, and boom, you can play. (To log in on your other device, the “login” option should pop up just before you start up the game.)

just wear a different outfit and try to lose as much wing as you can so you don't get targeted. stay safe :( try to stay away from crowded areas such as prairie social space

PLEASE READ THIS ANYONE! yes, certainly itd be necessary to hack google or facebook account to access sky data. ios devices happen to be more secure, so android users be sure to check on your accounts security and passwords. and also i knew too that purchasing stuff in different sky sessions with the same google account can cause items to switch between accounts, so even if its for gifting, do not hand anyone your google account. prefer to transfer money instead of allowing third party to use your account. even though, id like to still say to stay away from weird players. even if they cant directly harm you giving them clout is not okay. please dont feed them, though this is more of a moral take. hacking/moding/cheating is not allowed by sky TOS so dont do it nor encourage it. ty for reading

This is one of the only few posts on here that are written with common sense lmao thank you. Is the cosmetic stealing just a rumour then? So many people on here say “my friend had their xy stolen from them” and I’m just like ... can ANYONE proof this.

@@silmaril ok, so-- stealing individual cosmetics is probably impossible. such a feature (giving cosmetic from one account to another) doesn't even exist in Sky, and also virtual items don't work like irl ones-- if someone wanted to get a cosmetic illegitimately, they would set some value in their local copy of the game. in the case of the violin, this value probably gets sent to the TGC servers so other players can also see their violin. in the case of custom cosmetics like Vi Thai's, it's local only. there's no such thing as "stealing" a virtual item in Sky as for stealing whole accounts? so let's see the ways to connect a sky account: email/icloud/gplay, and account ID it's possible for someone to steal your whole account if the gmail/icloud account you use for Sky gets breached elsewhere, but then that's not even a Sky issue (just be careful what websites u put ur email and password into, use different passwords, etc). also, i guess if someone hacks google/apple but...yeah, that's a whole other issue. if someone gets your account ID, then MAYBE they can get your account IF they manage to trick TGC customer service, since you can't do anything with the ID on your own, but I'm guessing TGC has measures against that. one note though... in the Chinese version of Sky (managed by NetEase), the account ID method is much more of a threat, and yes, people can get other ppl's IDs illegitimately using another app... not sure if I wanna go into detail on that here though. btw sometimes people have had their candles taken away by TGC because they were led by someone else who was using a candle farming script, so ppl's friends have lost items, that may be why? either way, contact TGC if that happens and just report "hackers" without giving them the attention they want. this is probably much longer than you wanted but yeah-

Honestly true, hacking isn’t a good thing in general, but honestly, if your gonna do it, just spawn a bunch of fireworks and stop. That’s cool if you do that. If you steal peoples things, that isn’t cool, at all.

The hair changer isn’t only from trials, it’s from if u die and come back in general, I played with a friend who lost their light in wasteland and their hair was changed when I got them lit again, and same in eden a friend I lit them up and their hair changed

I believe it is possible, because the more travelling spirits come and more seasons, the more wing buffs you can get so you can get maybe over 20 in the future..

there are so many different hacks for this game such as teleporting to each and every winged light in the game, lighting and collecting all the candles in a map, equip any item in the game (although only the hacker could see them; except for items that can be placed on the floor - tables, bonfires and swings ~ etc) and other hacks like infinite stamina so your cape is always charged, having level 20 capes, teleporting to spirits, maps and so many more.

I wouldnt think TGC would hack in there own game.. i imagine them as normal players, moths, chibis, veterans, any outfit (they might have exclusive items only available for the devs for a short period of time before it comes out)m and they would check Sky, check the servers, see how everyones doing, then leave or also have a fun time on Sky

devs dont do that a dev in the discord server mentioned they dont even get items early and flex it on other players so it's unlikely that they would cheat in the game

I used an app called Luma Fusion :) There's a lot more you can do with it than in this video. I recommend Luma Fusion, you do have to buy it, but I'd say it's worth it. It's a lot like other video editing programs, but made for mobile devices like iPads and phones. I'm still learning how to use it, as there are so many features!
