Now, think about it. The Tomb goes back to 1921. If he's 100 now, that doesn't mean he started 100 years ago. In fact, the plaque has his starting in 1938, buuuuuuuut he's the oldest LIVING sentinel. Those who were 18 in 1921 would be 117 now.

When I got home from Viet Nam in 1972 I made a trip to Arlington to pay my respects to some buddies that were buried there. I watched the tomb guards and was overcome with grief and pride. It seemed no one respected the uniform and sacrifices we made. I knew the guards did, and still do. SEMPER FIDELUS 🇺🇸

I disagree. These men served honorably and will be buried in a plot recognizing their name, service and god. The whole point of the Tomb is to pay the ultimate respect to those who never made it back. To those whose families never got to see the return of a loved one, or even receive news of how it happened.

But hey, nice of you to show that you people are predictable as ever, and hijack every conversation to make a statement. Really not a good look, and it's why nothing ever gets done. It's toxic, unhelpful, and fuels the vitriol and vicious back and forth that continues to drag the country through the mud. It comes from both sides, don't get me wrong. But for all you lefties complain about, you add to the problems just as much as the right. Both sides are pathetic right now, and neither are helping the country. Tomb of the Unknowns 11/21/2020 by Gerardo Molinar His uniform is faultless down to the tinest detail with no wrinkles or lint, Every step and every movement by the Honor Guard is proficient. The tomb is guarded 365 days without fail thru any kind of weather, Hurricane Sandy couldn't deter these Honor guard bretheren. Twenty one steps are taken on the black mat in front of the tomb, He turns to face for twenty one seconds the tomb of the Unknowns. He turns and shoulders his rifle away from the tomb and repeats, The sound signifies a sentinel is on duty everytime his heels click. The oath that is taken is honored that goes beyond the two years, No swearing, drinking or fighting for life this they are willing to adhere. A wreath pin is given after two years to these Honor Guards, Their undying dedication is something to be admired in high regard. "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends", So many have sacrificed everything to the very end, These unknown soldiers for freedom a payment was made in blood, "Here rests in honored Glory, an American soldier known only to God" The Honor Guard is ever vigil to ensure that no one will vandalize, The Tomb of the Unknowns, in memory of their sacrifice.
