अस्सल पुणेरी मिसळ म्हणून ओळख असणाऱ्या पुण्याच्या दोन जुन्या आणि प्रसिद्ध मिसळ औटलेट्स ला आम्ही भेट दिली ! ही ठिकाणं म्हणजे बुधवार पेठेतील तब्बल 113 वर्ष जुनं वैद्य उपाहार गृह आणि नारायण पेठेतील 75 वर्ष जुनं बेडेकर टी स्टॉल !
ह्या दोन्ही मिसळ आपापल्या जागी चविष्ट असून एक वेगळीच चव जिभेवर रेंगाळत ठेवतात ! पुण्यात आलात तर ह्या दोन्ही ठिकाणी अवश्य भेट द्या आणि मिसळीचा आस्वाद घ्या !
We had visited two old and famous original Misal Joints in Pune.
One of them called "Vaidya Upahargruha" is almost 113 years old and known as the oldest misal joint in Pune and Another one "Bedekar tea Stall" is very famous across India as well as in Foreign countries. This outlet is also 75 years old.
Both these outlets serve authentic Puneri Misal with Slice Bread. Do try whenever you are visiting Pune.

You are absolutely right. I am happy someone called it Bhangar. perfect word for it. They were looking at my red face, and one of the owner was waing eagerly to dish out Solkadhi and Gulkand Ladu. After finishing the Misal I had several Solkadhis and a Gulkand Ladu- that was good.

Do not try Bedekar. Third class misal with zero flavours only extreme pungency.

बेडेकर मिसळीचा पत्ता काय?नुसते नारायण पेठ म्हणजे कुठे. जवळचे मोठे ठिकाण. लेन कोणती वैगेरे तपशील दिल्यास तेथे जाणे सुलभ होईल म्हणुन नम्र विनंती.

Kolhapur and Pune both give fake misals because their is no PAV. Period. Nashik is the only authentic one. Bhadipa too reviewed Misals in these three cities and came to same conclusion. Punekars are no Gourmets, when it comes to food. They need something to gorge- and it is great if it opens at 7 and closes at 11 am, or it should be in some decrepit lane of xyz peth with salivating crowds queueing outside. Same is with Vadapav. Mumbai Wadapavs are just unbeatable.

मग तुम्ही चिंचवड मध्ये जाऊन नेवाळेच ट्राय करा... आणि दोन दिवस बिमार रहा 🤣🤣🤣. लाल रंग म्हणजेच मिसळ नव्हे कुणी जर वेगळा प्रयोग केला असेल तर त्यात चूक ती काय?

Thank you. I am happy you asked for PAV and not slices. These people take customers fro granted. Perhaps save on money. Misal it useless anyway. Tumhala first floor chi Mutari treatment milali ki nahi. That toilet is leaking and sticks like toilet of Swargate bus stand. How can you eat when just ourside a toilet is leaking. I hope they have repaired it. The building is dilapidated. Who know one day bad news may come.

Bedekar is over hyped. Flavours zero. Very very pungent. To reach the first floor sitting, you pass a leaking stinking urinal. Horrible. Some may even like like it. I did not. Also being typical Puneri, they give slice bread and still call it a PAV. Hilarious. Nashik Misals are far far better and they also provide actual PAV . I am not a NAshikakr. What is great is great - no denying it. Hum nahi Sudharenge is motto of Pune. Did they ever asked the customer if they need PAV? Kupmaduk Puneri. The presentation is excellent Deepesh Kulkarni. By the way Chaha bhetat nahi Milato- as ususal. The best Misal if you want flavours is Shrikrishna Misal at the entrance of Tulashi Bag first floor. Very clean and spacious. they offer light, medium and pungent all three flavours. However, the PAV is still missing.
