Samanam and Jainam are two different communities. Samanam from Tamilnadu who were teaching communities and one of the oldest like Aaseevaham. Jainism and Buddhism are Northern communities.

When we going through sangam scripts, indicated time & few kings name would be more older than 300 bc. What they used to transfer data, we need to must know? Then only can go further. May be after Jain or Buddha incoming, cave scripts started. But, communication & grammers are more older than , cave timing. Archeological clay pot, having 580BC old Tamil scripts. But it's not enaf. Tamil scripts wise visulals & examples & data &stories are more old. How excavate, solid proof? If there was any chance to be another writing style???? Tamil brahmi, later formed around 1000BC????

Tamil cultural heritage predates brahminic presence in peninsular India. However, these inscriptions are written in Pali script.

You should wait for more acielogy proofs what you are. An anslogy of Prakrit is needed. In my opinion the fusion of pure pali and pure thamil is the result prakrit. Samannam has a religious way of life was existing in su Southern states, this practice later was identified with jaina through practicing and propogating. The delusion that everything from north to south is going to be broken in time, patients will bring true history.
