Best club gigs memories along with the Sacrifice gigs. Phenomenal performances every time. Killer club mosh pits too.

Met the DBC guys at a Killswitch Show in 2018. Accidentally hit the singer's nose with the back of my head Headbanging XD Took it line a champ and now here we are

Excelente banda, muy infravalorada. Increíble riffs, un sonido muy bien trabajado. Uno de mis temas preferidos es monument. Saludos desde Ecuador

Thanks for the review Old Head! I heard a song (I don't remember which one) off of their first album on the radio in 1988 and thought "Holy crap..... that was wicked!" Thankfully the DJ said the name of the band, so I went out and bought "Universe" on CD, which also had the self titled first album on it. Here we are 30+ years later and it's still one of my all time favorites. The first album especially is absolutely ferocious. Some really good song writing too. Unfortunately, living in Kansas City at the time I never did get a chance to see them. Definitely an underrated band, and LP's!

DBC's self titled album is one of the GREATEST METAL ALBUMS of ALL TIME. It's a crime that it's pretty much unknown in the Metal world.

Amazing band! Don't know how true it is but heard they were coming out with another album soon? Killer. Also very ready to see what other bands you present! Be interested to see if our brain pans think the same haha. So far yes with DBC! 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻

'DBC's 'Universe' was so ahead of its time that we still haven't caught up - 1989 and counting....

To this day the first album is in my regular listening list. Creative and progressive but still thrash as you remarked.

Awesome Review definitely one of the bands I've treasured for decades. Couple years ago I got a hold of one of the band members online. Sent me the two albums you mentioned and the "unreleased" one on CD. Doesn't have the full production of the previous ones but the riffs are definitely D.B.C. Horns Up and More Metal

OG fan club member here. Still have my shirts and stickers! Side note - Eddie Shahini would years later draw the cover art for my own bands ep on Battlezone Records. Side note 2 - In 2002, they released the demos recorded in 1990 and ‘91 for their 3rd album for Combat. It’s called “Unreleased” and is on cd on Galy Records. 👍

Yeah I’ve heard that EP too! Nothing but amazing stuff from these guys.

Saw them in montreal with Slayer,Razor and Detente. And met Eddie and Phil years later at the montreal metal massacre show. Great guys and a cult album. This is in my top ten thrash albums of all time.

Self titled is an absolute crossover, thrash, prog classic. One of my fave of all time. Universe is great too, don't get me wrong. But Dead Brain Cells still resonates with me 30+ years later like few other records. Only wish I had them on vinyl.i have the double album CD with both, and cassette of DBC. Cheers. Nice video. Followed.

I was 14 when the first album came out and it completely blew me away. I'm 46 now and it still blows me away. It's astonishing that DBC were not more popular, they were easily as good, if not better, than the Big Four. It's nice to see them getting some love. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :-)

Awesome that your bringing attention to these less known bands. Universe is a killer album. Tough call on DBC vs. Voivod. I’m from the same city as DBC & Voivod (Montreal) so got to see them perform many times.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Voivod. I just find myself listening to these two albums a lot more.

Drummer recently passed away. I find his compositions to be incredible. Amazing Band. Any videos solely on the drummer playing these songs?

Faaauuukkkk of an album to start your 'cast' series with dude! Have you done Hallows Eve's Tales of Terror yet? That's another one of those "somehow fell under the wire, and few have heard the Masterpiece" kind of releases.
