The subway era began in the mid 60's in New York City. From tags, to throw ups, to straight letters, to pieces and burners, to whole cars... graffiti exploded on the subway lines through the 70's. It went strong up until the mid 80's, when the clean train movement began. This was a sad loss yet a win at the same time, as graffiti spilled from the trains onto the streets and went global. This video is dedicated to the now legendary graffiti writers that pushed this movement worldwide.
