I can see where youre coming from, but art isnt in just the hands. Craft isn't even in just the hands. Im a ceramicist, our college next door studio was woodworking. People there made beautiful things with their hands in lots of different ways, they had a huge array of hand tools but also a cnc machine. They often used a combination of all of these at once. Our ceramics studio peeps used everything from their bare hands, to wheels, to molds, to a ceramic 3d printer. Its not about the tool a lot of the time, its about the work ethic. A laser cutter is just another tool, and takes just as much skill to use as a chisel. Most good crafts people use a combination of different tools. You wouldn't say anything negative about this guy using so many different carving tools just because someone else only used 1 single knife would you? The chisels are just as much a product of advancing technology as any electric tool. By that logic the only REAL ART would be hitting things with sharp rocks or perhaps gnawing away at them with our teeth. Tools are just tools, you pick the one best suited for what youre trying to accomplish.

So if someone design this on zbrush and 3d printed it, is not art anymore? Dumb as fuck

@@icedragonair It's not about the tool and its quantity, but about the uniqueness of the product. I have about 100 chisels, but I use them to make one unique piece. The CNC machine can make hundreds, thousands of copies. That's the difference.

@@Wandrative not if you understand engineering. A master carver can make a beautiful work of art, but not necessarily one that's properly functional. To be able to combine the two elevates the art form, not detracts from it. You have what I said backward.

Порой когда режешь, нет такого состояния ,как терпение ,а есть огромное желание это сделать,тобою движет огромное желание и вследствие этого, получаешь удовольствие, от каждого мгновения в процессе резьбы )! Но есть и другие состояния ума ,это когда ,терпение,мучение ,утомление ,но надо работать .
