That's why I've never run Evac tubes on mine. I pretty much always run mufflers. I know I would forget to unhook.

I don't bother with doing compression tests anymore. I just go straight to a leak down.

I built this engine loose so the leak down test wouldn't be accurate guys who run nitrous will have well over 30 percent leakage and still run em. I did the cylinder pressure test just to see if ... I should worry. And today's test n tune proved things are still good.

Are u using low compression pistons? My 455 olds i hope is more like 150 to 160psi.

No ... flat tops with 3 cc reliefs at zero deck. This engine is just long in the tooth. But it still hauling. 11.70's today
