22 күн бұрынOleksandr Usyk sat down for a one-on-one interview with Title Sports Network's Michelle Joy Phelps to discuss his upcoming Ring of Fire clash with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
Usyk discussed his plans post-fight, as well as hinting he may return to Cruiserweight in the future and hasn't ruled out the possibility of a trilogy fight with Anthony Joshua, where he think's he'd fall in the P4P Rankings if he defeats Fury, and reacts to Vasyl Lomachenko's win over George Kambosos.

AJ would do better if he takes this cue from Usyk. He doesn’t let things get to him, only the task in front of him. That type of mindset is so solid and would make him have that little “extra” in the ring when others get exhausted. One of the best (if not the best) mental fighters in boxing today.

AJ isn't really an exciting fight for Usyk any more. If they were 1 win each a 3rd would make sense, but it's 2-0 Usyk already. Usyk too strong and classy. Let the division play out with the likes of Hrgovic, Zhang, Kabayel, Sanchez etc .. see where things go.

Not really. Joshua has dealt with a lot more scrutiny than Usyk ever has. Joshua has been criticizing for being "too nice", "too rude", "he can't box all he does is KO" but when he wins by decision "he's boring, he didn't even knock them out"... Usyk doesn't a bunch of radio hosts from his own country critiquing him religiously regardless of what he does.

It’s hard but if AJ develops that mental strength to not get fazed by all these criticisms and taunts, he’ll be unbeatable. These things are mentally exhausting…watch AJs facial and body language in the fights he lost. You can see he’s mentally drained even before the fight starts…Did you see Usyk’s body language in the first face off with Fury? That’s what I mean..

I think they are correct when they say if Olek wins on Saturday he will go down in history as the best HW the world has seen. He is a very skillful boxer and moves like middle weight and obviously has the power to mix it with the best. Very few boxers have move better than him - Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather. What a fantastic interviewer and what a great bloke oleksandr usyk is personally I think fury has lost the weight as he knows he’s in for a long nights work , I think usyk by decision he’s very skilful take the Joshua fights …. Could Joshua beat fury ? Yes after Francis , who in my opinion beat fury , so who will win ?? The elephant theory and lion 🦁 excellently made…. I think honestly usyk by points decision as I think it’ll go the distance. Good luck to both men though.

Why does she keep calling him Usyk? Any other boxer, she would be using their first name. (Try imagining her saying ‘Fury’ or ‘Whyte’ or ‘Joshua’ throughout her interview and you’ll see what I mean…) Also, can someone tell her it’s ’joined by’ and not ‘joined with’?
