In this Acrylic Pouring tutorial, I want to try out Rainbow colors but on a BLACK base! 😍 All the colors are mixed with paint and water only. In this fluid painting, I want to go for the criss-cross technique, and trust me when I say - sometimes it doesn't work out perfectly at the first go. So you just need to keep working on your pour painting till you are happy! The outcome turned out absolutely gorgeous!

I really enjoy the black base, the way you make the paint flow on canvas is amazing and your colors are always so vibrant. I very much enjoyed this particular painting, the colors seem to play off of eachother. I LOVE this video because it finally shows one that didn’t go perfectly. I have so many that don’t go perfectly and would love more videos on how to fix things when they go wrong instead of just giving up on the painting and starting over.

This painting is absolutely incredible. You’re constantly making my new favorite painting but this one is stunning. The way the colors moved together, how they stay true to their own, how they mixed together, the finger dips, the splattered gold paint, all of the shine and shimmer, that sharp clean edge from the cradled wood panel, The perfect resin that literally looks like a bubble of the clearest water you’ve ever seen just reflecting all of the light in color beneath… EVERYTHING is spot on!! This painting is just breathtaking. I love it. I wish I could afford it. I want to see it every day. I hope another artist is the one who gives this a home because it holds so much beauty and inspiration.

Oh my goodness. It's beautiful. Honestly I wasn't sure about it at first. But once the epoxy was put on, it was dried, and the tape was removed; I immediately fell in love!!!!! My 3 year old daughter, who is obsessed with rainbows 🌈 right now, is freaking out (in a good way 😁). She wants us to create one together as a background for her My Little Pony TY beanie collection on a shelf in her room.

Beautiful as expected! You and Molly are who I look to for inspiration on my new quest into paint pouring. I am an artist from the 60’s and 70’s. Art has changed drastically since that time. You are going to have many "disasters" for lack of a better word. I've been doing this for years. I've thought several times, why do I even do this? I'm terrible! But I try again and fall in love with the results. My advice, just keep trying new things!! You can always get great inspiration from KZfaq artists but remember your piece will not turn out like theirs and you never know what beautiful results you'll end up with each time! Just don't give up.

I like it SOOOO much better after your second pour! Adding the gold with your finger really made such a big, beautiful, difference. The black background REALLY makes the colors pop! I LOVE the final product, especially being able to see the glossiness of the finished product and the clean lines of the wood that was under the tape. One of the reasons I love watching you work is you are always so tidy when you are creating - some artists are so messy. I spend half my time while watching focused more on the mess they are making than on what they are creating!

This is simply astonishing! I am practicing Dutch pours but I am having trouble with how much base paint to use. Is it the amount of ounces I would normally calculate for the size of the canvas? My paint was too thin on my last go and was a disaster. I’m going to keep trying though!

It's like a vertical rainbow bouquet. GORGEOUS!!! I love that you actually used the 7 rainbow colours (ROY G BIV) and not just six colours. AND, no pink. It's simply beautiful.

Working with colors on black is one of my favorite art designs. I do want to caution you as an artist to be careful not to overwork a painting or force appealing. I had an instructor many, many years ago who Told me that “simplicity was a virtual”!!! It was very hard for me to stop working a canvas and always thinking some thing else needed to be added. I’m not saying you do but I do want to caution you of that tendency. Sometimes we need to let art stand for itself and not have expectations. I liked your peace as it was I liked your peace after you added some changes simply because I could except it for what you did & The paint did naturally. We are our own worst critics and also sometimes our expectations caused us trouble. I have to remind myself this every time I paint. I love your style of painting and enjoy this very much!! Space Flower or Galaxy Bloom would be nice titles for this one. I finally found an artist who uses the color schemes and designs I like. Some day I'll have to try this one.
