Hello, I bought one on there sale last week in OD green. I wasn’t sure about the magnet/coin and the other coin shaped sticker? I think I made a mistake, I put the coin shaped sticker on the bottom of the charging device and then put the coin/magnet on to that and it doesn’t seem to be that strong of a magnet like that. Did I make a mistake? Love the pen! Thanks😊

i wish it wasn't a pen, just a large battery and the clip lamp. an excellent form factor for clipping on clothing.

Can you charge this with just USB-C or is it only able to charge by the proprietary magnetic charger? If you can't recharge in the field in a pinch without a fancy charger that only works for this item in your pocket then OPen Pro is the better option imo.

I hate the slow pan of the increasing lumens. I loved and hated the two tap up max power on the last model. It’s superior to this.

I dont write with my O-pen because its awful as a pen to write with. I've swapped out multiple cartridges and its just rough & grainy not smooth and flowing. I won't but another, its got to function 'as a pen' before anything else. Other functions dont matter if it writes poorly. Its a shame because its so well made.

Is there a setup video for the O’Pen Glow? Not sure what is going on, but just got mine and I can’t seem to get it to charge. Is there something special I’m supposed to do initially? I’ve got the charger plugged in, but not getting any indication on the base or the pen that it is charging. Hmmm. Any thoughts? Thank you.

What would make this this pen complete is a screw on stylus over the laser, that would be a major upgrade for this product. Hope they will make a raw aluminum model

I was initially really excited about this but after a bit of thought it seems stuck in an awkward middle ground of use cases. On the face of it, a tool to support close-up work, writing in all conditions and pointing for communication helps with a bunch of pretty fundamental parts of getting stuff done. Unfortunately, anywhere you need to get those things done despite poor lighting and limited carry options is probably that way *precisely because* of conditions (remoteness, dirt, water, awkward access, etc...) that this gizmo doesn't serve well. Still, I can't help but feel there's something frustratingly close to great here. (Fair warning: what's below is me trying to work out that frustration and also trying to talk myself out of an impulse buy 😋.) All multi-tools are trade-off but *none* of my scenarios comfortably fit within its performance envelope. Having to "baby" a tool or needing alternates/backups defeats the point of the pen's minimalism/convenience. The integration and feature set is impressive and most of them(*) range from good enough to great however I think it needs a few "bumps" to move it into the "overall good enough" space: 5h+ tip light, "dunkable"-level IP rating and USB C charge port behind a threaded collar+O-rings (not another flimsy rubber flap!). For in-office/productivity like a lecture theater or long-haul red-eye travel where I'm trying not to disturb those around me/presenting up front, the 2.5 hour tip light run time and hour-ish cradle charging won't cut it. Typical red-eye routes I may have to work through or a half-day of lectures/presentations all exceed that...not by a whole lot but enough that it's probably going to quit at an inconvenient time. Also, does it have a separate tip battery or particularly low efficiency emitter? 2.5h at .2lm just seems low given the main light can do 5h at 5 lm (half run time at 1/25lm is 50x less efficient). For technician work in dark utility areas/outdoors, it would be great to have hands-free lighting, something to fill out forms/logs pasted in all kinds of nooks and crannies plus a way to point at hardware while talking stuff over with colleagues/customers. This is all let down by the marginal IPX4 rating. If I can't drop it in a dirty puddle and just rinse it off without worry, it's not for field work. This is extra confusing because Olight is specifically known for its proprietary chargers developed to improve enclosure/connector ruggedness in its main product line ... but not here? Maybe there's no (cheap) way around that with the laser/button top? For extended wilderness use, an extra hands-free light plus being able to write with minimal energy use/night vision disruption is enticing but, again, have to keep it clean and dry. 2.5h on the tip light might only last a couple nights logging/planning so you need to pack the cradle and configure a stable place to charge it (and how rugged is the charger?). Here specifically, a longer-running dim red light might be better along with a 1.5mm (like the rite-in-the-rain pencil) refillable lead cartridge (adding a forward slide notch to the bolt for lead advancing) to better survive water/dropping on the tip/writing on things that would ruin a ball point (dirt-encrusted paper, marking wood for crafting/construction, etc). (*)The good things: 120lm diffuse light for close up work, emitter on the clip itself, green laser, convenience/stealth of pen format, lockout function/UI, separability in-use and sale price.

How many times did you wish that your pen is also a flashlight? Answer: Not ever. Yet another useless Olight product.
