I have 2 olights never had a problem one oldest is 3 years old. Surefire is USA assembly but a lot of parts come from same place as the lower priced olights

I want a pistol light that can switch from white light to IR and has more output than the streamlight whose output, especially in IR is downright pathetic. Hopefully Olght comes out with something like that in the future.

The fact that you can replace the battery with the same ones that come in a Surefire means there really isn’t much difference. Both use the same batters and led’s it’s just one is a Chinese housing and one is a US housing. You’re paying about $200 for the US housing and quality control.

@@Auggie_93 for sure. I don’t actually own any olights. But in their defense the only light I’ve ever had to get warranty work on was a Surefire.

@@jpk9171jpk neither do I. I have about 6 stream lights on handguns and rifles that I trust with my life. Tbh, the only thing that is drawing me to getting a surefire is the "cool guy" factor. Lol. I wish more people would admit it.

my biggest gripe with the pl series, is i cant reach the switches on alot of my guns. i wear a large glove 90% of the time (depending on who made the glove) sometimes medium gloves are too tight and large is just a hair baggy. ive got zero problems with my streamlight tlr-1's

The profile looks similar to a TLR-1, can you tell us if it is cross compatible with holsters for TRL-1?

the PL3 Turbo and TLR-1 HL have similar bezel diameter as well as the width of the light bodies. These two would be compatible in a safariland duty type holster since those are over built around the wml area. However the PL3 Turbo wouldn't be compatible w/ a TLR-1 if the holster was specifically formed for a TLR-1.

Eww, all of the 5 Olight's I've owned have had catastrophic failures from general, light, and even gentle use. The TLR1 HL is the only way to go.

I wish I had vids on my channel to show the damaged units. Buttons falling off, electronics inside becoming disconnected, and their mounts are trash for the rifle lights.

@searchBLOC941 I have 4 Olights and haven't had an issue yet. Now I know they are not the best by any means, but the price to value you get is unmatched. I have too many firearms to put on Surefire or Cloud.
