Hello Mr Baz, congratulations for the excellent reviews. I would like to know, in your opinion what is the best tactical flashlight in the market? Keep up the good work!

@@oisak21 Hi problem is I've not used a tactical light for a while, unless you count this. The Warrior X is a better light than the XPro it has strobe and you can use your own batteries. If you can get a deal on it, not a bad light but I prefer more power levels. Other makers not used too many tactical ones, I am getting more lights in for review - just not a lot of tactical type ones.

Nice review Baz. I would only wish that Olight would have bought another version with lower modes like on Thrunite models.

Maybe they could have given it 3 modes the normal one, tactical with the strobe and one with the 3/4 power levels just hold and twist to switch between the 3 would have worked well I think, doesn't complicate things either

I think this is a good flashlight to keep at home if you are surrounded by a large open area, as the beam can reach pretty far. It can easily blind an attacker too. Plus the neutral white tint is quite nice.. not too yellow but just right. Very good review as always, and nice music during the beam shots. :)

Yes range is impressive, N/W is a good tint not too warm on this one.

Would def make it more useful just map it onto the twist/hold mode switch and let the full press turn on/half press cycle power levels.

The beam is just so great that I have no problem with the lack of modes. The most tactical lights I have include as few as one mode. Uses for these torches are extremely limited by design, leaving the operator with less chance of error.

I do like the beam and build just thinking of areas to improve, sometimes using a light up close a very low power level is useful

Mr Baz Reviews absolutely. I’m never without something floody that hits the 60-100 lm mark. I usually carry something like this on a sling-pack, and a more practical light in my left pocket. I do wish the straps on the holster were velcro. I’m going to have to invest in some carabiners to mount this one.

I'm not so sure it should have more modes. Since this light is made for aggression and defense it doesn't really need to be able to properly light your living room with the perfect ambience. It's made to do what it needs to do with absolutely no confusion whatsoever and for that I love it.

Down to taste really but of course not everyone will agree with me, fine to have a different view It probably does limit the appeal to some buyers, maybe ;-). Thanks for the thoughts useful for others to hear

The 2000 lumen mode lasts only 15 minutes. The Surefire Fury DFT is 1500 lumens, but runtime at 1500 lumens as tested lasts for a little over 2 HOURS before the light begins to dim. It has no strobe or lower power settings, but in a serious situation, you want all the light you can have. Fancy half presses for strobe and lower power levels only complicate matters under critical stress. Actual operators never use strobes and know how to deflect ligjt when less light is required, rather than search for a lower setting while deploying a firearm. This is a quality product and a great review. Thanks.

I believe the primary use for this light is a weapons light, hence the name "warrior" It also comes with a pressure switch and rail mount as upgrades.,.
@MrBazReviews
@MrBazReviews 5 жыл бұрын
Well Warrior models have previously not been weapon lights (there are several out there), but I agree it is aimed more at that. I just think with the mode change it would make more sense to have a light mode with a lower output, makes it a more useful all round in my view

@@MrBazReviews I actually agree with you. having 300 lumens, which is a mild flashlight OR bright as THE SUN..... Yeah they should have put a couple of steps in between there.... Because now this light will permanently live on the end of my rifle! But even there, a 1000 lumen step would have been fantastic...

The Olight Warrior X Pro has just been announced. I hope Olight will send you one for review. 😄
@MrBazReviews
@MrBazReviews 4 жыл бұрын
We can hope, but I don't think Olight is too happy with my criticism of custom cells (they plain ignored my last email) So I wouldn't hold out much hope Unfortunately most of the light makers are not sending items in, I think they don't like any criticism of products and just stick to channels that only say good things/promote their lights. Looking at the spec it's another custom cell job (not sure if you can use normal cells) - sometimes Bantac send Olights in for review. It's not looking likely I'll be doing many lights in the next few weeks (0 items have come in for review I'm working on videos on items I've got or other ones) The Pro doesn't seem to address the problems I had with the Warrior X, only 2 power levels. At this stage my interest in Olight products isn't that high - they're just not listening to feedback from users/buyers. At least with the non Pro you can use your own cells

Mr Baz Reviews That is a shame. It does not surprise me that they do that. Unfortunately there isn’t many independent reviewer on KZfaq any more, you are one of the few left. Those with large subscribers number are getting paid (handsomely) by manufacturers to do review. For me, I no longer value their advice as it is no longer independent. As for the new Warrior Pro, I think the trend is to move away from 18650 to 21700 for longer run time and harder drive. From a business point of view, Olight is correct to move to their customised batteries to ensure optimal power input and revenue. However, from the consumer point of view, it is just a pain in the back side. At least they publish honest run time with step down. 😄
@MrBazReviews
@MrBazReviews 4 жыл бұрын
@@garywillis8737 I might be wrong but that's the impression I get. It's not just big channels I've seen smaller ones get lots of items from other makers (including some top end lights), but nothing appears in the email box (not hard to contact me for reviews). I did once get an email from Armytek, said yup I'd do some reviews - never heard back. Others like Imalent, or Acebeam have never asked for reviews ever. So I can only assume they don't like videos that might mention flaws/weaker points. I got one from Fenix, did the review got good views on it, no contact since. Not sure what I can do about it I just don't feel right about doing videos where I'm not saying how I feel and being honest - or pointing out weaker areas/improvements. I do mention good points too, try to keep it balanced. To me that's what a review is, I want it to be for the viewer - not an advert for the maker. Of course that is what most want - to sell stuff. So going forward I should get some lights in, just not that many. To be fair to Nitecore they have been pretty regular, I just don't always get as many as I want - they've never complained about criticism in reviews. I had hoped once I got past 10K subs, I'd get more offers for review items. Since Christmas I've had almost no review requests (one power bank maker might send it in). It's not just lights I've photo videos up some have done pretty well, chargers have substantial views on them - yet never had a company like Maha (which do chargers aimed at photographers) ask for reviews. I am aware some of the videos I put up might not appeal to all, I've computer stuff and some photo ones to do. Choice I have is put nothing up or do other videos - I just don't have the supply coming in to do mostly LED lights. Hoping over time I can build up some resources and maybe buy some items in to look at, thanks for sticking around though it is appreciated, sorry to ramble just letting you know what's going on!

I bought one 2 weeks ago and i love it . It lit up some trees 450 yards away, very powerful little flashlight thats well worth the $125.00 Aus i paid when Olight had some great deals 2 weeks ago , thats 50 bucks off the going retail price . It does get hot using the turbo 2000 lumens fairly quickly though. Olight flashlights just keep getting better every year. This flashlight i believe only comes in Neutral white , i would like Olight to make the Warrior X in cool white like it does on their MR2 Warrior flashlights

Seems aimed at law type use or weapon mounting. I am puzzled why they didn't add an extra mode for more power levels I really am, I think it limits the appeal to many users with no low output mode. The build is great the beam is a nice range bit of a shame really

You'd only get even spacing with at least 4 power levels, 2-3 will never give that. But 3 would give a lower output for closer up tasks. Hence the reason I would have liked another mode for this, wouldn't compromise the ease of use IMO
