Lawrence was pressured at a rate higher than anyone else last year. Our line was atrocious and we were 8-3 before Lawrence and Kirk got hurt. ETN is also a top 3 back. Led league in forced missed tackles, and he’s a menace in open space. Elite

This is the kind of shit that concerns me. They said that they were stripping the run game to the studs and making the blocking concepts much more easily understood. I know we needed a new center. Luke Fortner was about as upright as a piece of paper when they put the mits to him. He had to go. The problem I kept having were the weak doorstops and missed assignments. Anton is a rookie and had some serious flash last year. I fully anticipate him to get better. Ezra having a full off season and becoming healthy is exactly what is needed for him. If the offensive line can finally just get their act together and not stay embarrassing, then we should finally be elite on offense.

Jags will go as the Line does. Quickest average colapsing pocket in the NFL last year, plus a terrible run block win rate(most of Etienes yard were after contact). For Reference it took Trevor getting hit 18 times to beat the Bills. Didn't help that they lost 37.8 points due to drops(Most in the NFL).

On top of everything that was said in this video, ETN got injured so our run game broke down also. So our QB, our lead RB and our lead receiver all injured at end of the year and the just about everyone on the O line was injured. Ridley and Engram we're the only 2 not injured on the offense. At the end of the season this is who was injured on offense: QB1, RB1, LT, LG,, RT, RG, Slot receiver, backup LG

He was behind the worst Center in the NFL. His O-line in general was playing God awful. They couldn't block He played injured. His OC was Press Taylor. Receivers were dropping balls. No run game.Twice the offense put up +28 points in two games and we still lost. Despite all that Trevor put up 4000+ yds and 21 touchdowns. He's not even in his prime yet. Some people are too quick to judge. Despite what his haters say he's a damn good QB. PERIOD. 💯✊🏿. LFG!!

Spot on. Some of the best analysis I've seen of 16s play. Those second and third order effects of oline being trash and how his injury relates to loss of mobility needed make perfect sense and were extremely helpful in understanding some of jaguars struggles in the later part of the year

DUUUVAL!!!! I love that we are being slept on. Truly wish most people understood what really happen last year with Trevor. The o-line, in particular the C, Luke Fortner, was responsible for everything during the second half of the season. Not to mention that Trevor was playing with a high ankle sprain, a knee sprain, a sprained shoulder and suffered a concussion. Thanks for this video. Etienne and C-Mac are the only two RB’s to have at least 1,400 yards from scrimmage the past two seasons.

Yeah. Lawrence is the real deal. Question is, can they build that team around him after he got paid? That's pretty tricky, nowadays, if you're not already close when that 2nd contract for your franchise QB hits. It takes some real team-building magic to make it gel around even a great QB. Morse should solidify that interior line for them.

As a jag fan we have always had oline problems not enough good players or healthy one's at that. Always always oline problems. We are clueless on drafting good lineman. But we will hit the FA market and get guys that are past there prime or have been injured ect then boom 💥 more problems again .

Until Trevor wins an important game in a clutch moment (i.e. playoff game) he's not gonna get his respect....and yet everyone wants to blame OC Press Taylor for this offenses issues. I would be pointing the finger at OL coach Phil Rousher. He's the one responsible for making sure those OL are ready to play.

@@daviddidder3781 Stroud had a decent OL, a great OC play-caller, and good run game, and he was only out a game. Lawrence had a bottom 5 OL, played with a high ankle sprain and 2 other injuries through the year, has a terrible OC play-caller (Press Taylor), and WR's dropping passes left and right. Anyone who actually watches Lawrence when he's healthy and OL is playing decent knows he's a good QB. Let's see how this upgraded OL we have now plays going into this season. And let's see how Stroud plays his sophomore year.
