It’s not live. We can definitely see multiple takes. Focus on camera work. It’s just just another type of music vid. At the end 3:13 she moved her mic faster than the song especially watching with 0.5 speed.

I just realized that good 4 u is a REALLY hard song to sing it requires crazy good breath control. The song is so fast paced that she has to cut off some words/notes just to stay on track with the music. She's so talented!

As a guy who’s really into rock, I’m so glad that Olivia - a new, mainstream artist - is bringing rock to the forefront, at least with some of her songs. I had no interest in anything High School Musical, but Olivia’s talent transcends the Disney Channel or even just the mainstream pop realm. Of course, I’m sure she’s got help, especially when putting together this glitzy performance, but she’s got the vocal chops and songwriting abilities to hold it together. I think rock fans tend to look down on stuff that teen girls are into when they’re so important to keeping a style and scene alive. Teenagers determine what’s cool, and if something appeals to a wider demographic than a few bearded 30-year-olds, then it’ll have more staying power. In addition, this isn’t the soulless garbage people imagine when they hear the words “teen pop.” Olivia’s lyrics are personal and specific, which makes the whole project endearing. Sometimes she sounds naïve, but that’s because she’s going through the relatable struggles of someone who’s still learning. Hell, plenty of adults deal with breakups and shitty relationships, and they’re nowhere near as thoughtful about it as her. Also, the music is killer, at least in some of the songs. This one in particular has great use of bass and drums coming in and out, landing at just the right time. Olivia’s presence is unreal. She sounds frustrated, sarcastic, and reluctantly accepting in just the right ways. She’s got the attention to detail in her vocal lines that turns a good singer into a great one. TL;DR I’m so excited to see Olivia blow up, even though I’m not in the target audience for something like High School Musical. I’m also glad that she’s bringing rock to today’s teen girls and doing so in such a substantive way.

I couldn't agree more! I am just the opposite in that: I AM the target audience for HSMTMTS , and I would say before listening to her music I never listened to anything that correlated to rock music. But her lyrics are not only so relatable, but the emotions she carries in her vocals and facial expressions really bring it home. She's definitely a very talented and versatile artist, that brings listeners from multiple genres.

@Peace i mean if you’re a fan of her you wouldn’t have such a strong opinion on how much she needs auto tune. it’s not that easy to just go up on stage and sing songs that take as much energy as her songs take. especially when you’re new to it too. also, she barely uses auto tune. it’s more so, learning how to breath correctly when singing these songs. practice makes perfect! but i still respect ur opinion! 💗
