Talk-singing is really hard to do without sounding like crap. She does it very well, but it's still not optimal to do it at all - I'd rather actual singing, which at that volume is even harder, but some artists can pull it off (like Morissette).

Why do you fanbots continue to use "no autotune" as some kind of status symbol or back handed insult. You literally have no idea whether your hero does or doesn't use autotune, that's the point of it, you're not supposed to and never will know if they do. In fact, there's a potential case to suggest it is actually being applied in realtime here. Put on a pair of good headphones, go to 2:25 and listen to the very unnatural polyphonic sounding note bend that happens on the "pire" part of the word vampire. That sounds very much like autotune. Doesn't make her any less of a talent, they all use it.

@@garyco766 - She has the talent, but you can see she really knows her craft. She can sing soulful, country, pop, and belt out a rocker, and do it all with ease. She understands different genres and what's required of them. If you listen to "Party In The USA" as compared to now you can tell how far she's progressed. I'm a rock drummer, but i recognize pure talent like Olivia and Miley have. That's what drew me to them.

Sort of combo of Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift. I've listened to multiple versions and arrangements and they all just pierce my heart! I don't know where the HELL all of that angst comes from at only 20 years of age! When I was that age I was only thinking about whether I'd have a date for Saturday night and all the fun my sorority would have at fraternity parties! 😁

Lyrics for ppl that wanna sing along ⏬ Hate to give the satisfaction, asking how you're doing now How's the castle built off people you pretend to care about? Just what you wanted Look at you, cool guy, you got it I see the parties and the diamonds sometimes when I close my eyes Six months of torture you sold as some forbidden paradise I loved you truly Gotta laugh at the stupidity 'Cause I've made some real big mistakes But you make the worst one look fine I should've known it was strange You only come out at night I used to think I was smart But you made me look so naive The way you sold me for parts As you sunk your teeth into me, oh Bloodsucker, famefucker Bleedin' me dry, like a goddamn vampire And every girl I ever talked to told me you were bad, bad news You called them crazy, God, I hate the way I called them crazy too You're so convincing How do you lie without flinching? (How do you lie, how do you lie, how do you lie?) Ooh, what a mesmerizing, paralyzing, fucked-up little thrill Can't figure out just how you do it, and God knows I never will Went for me, and not her 'Cause girls your age know better I've made some real big mistakes But you make the worst one look fine I should've known it was strange You only come out at night I used to think I was smart But you've made me look so naive The way you sold me for parts As you sunk your teeth into me, oh Bloodsucker, famefucker Bleedin' me dry, like a goddamn vampire You said it was true love, but wouldn't that be hard? You can't love anyone, 'cause that would mean you had a heart I tried you help you out, now I know that I can't 'Cause how you think's the kind of thing I'll never understand I've made some real big mistakes But you make the worst one look fine I should've known it was strange You only come out at night I used to think I was smart But you made me look so naive The way you sold me for parts As you sunk your teeth into me, oh Bloodsucker, famefucker Bleedin' me dry, like a goddamn vampire
