The One For My Enemy hardcover is gorgeous. I'm preordering the Barnes and Noble edition. I'm excited to read your upcoming work! I'm also very nervous for The Atlas Complex.

I relate so deeply to the thought that you would have a larger friend group as an adult, but it turns out that you have a closer relationship with fewer people- shows like Friends and SATC really made my teen self think that all of my friends and I would be living practically next door to each other in our twenties/thirties, and we’d see each other every 1-2 days. HAH! I adore my friends, but the older we get, the busier we get, and if we’re able to meet up every three weeks, that’s considered a win. And these are the ones who still live in the city! (I also love being the one to put out fires- the feeling of getting shit done is so validating 😂) Congrats on all the upcoming events!

yes agreed! and I really thought I would continue to make friends over the course of life but ?? lol. this is where the office and parks and rec have things closer to right I guess-your friends are thrust upon you by corporate

Hello! It’s been so long! Finally, our schedules line up for coffee ❤ Someday, I hope our geographic locations will line up for one of your tour dates. I agree about authenticity, and figuring that out can sometimes be hard. I thought I was living authentically, but it took a few years of therapy to really, truly figure it out and be happy with it. (Still a work in progress, honestly).

I think that what they have to say about the rise of fascism and the failure of institutions continues to be nuanced and so interesting!! who can say why!! also hayden natalie and ewan, I never stood a chance
