Star Citizen 3.23 has changed the game dramatically. Now in one ship, you can respawn, go off to do a bounty, and scout out on land. Insane! Unfortunately, despite the epic setup, this gaming session for Star Citizen just wasn't it. Bad day for me maybe, not sure. With all that being said, it was an awesome concept and I'm looking forward to trying it again soon.

I do like the fact that you show the trials and tribulations of your average SC user. The bugs, crashes and oddities are actually part of the SC experience right now so giving people an honest view of the game is best. Also showing people that you are having fun despite all that is great as well. Creators who cut out all the problems are not giving people an honest view of the game.

I can't wait for them to rework the Aquila, it needs some serious love. I hope they move the pilot seat a little more towards the front, because there is a lot of wasted space in the connie between the seat and cockpit glass,

I think they’re probably going to remove that center strut in all the connies, given how the new rsi cockpits are being designed with the polaris and zeus. But they might keep the old design to justify that this ship is older 🤷♂️

Mission was still active btw, it just want tracked which is why you couldn’t see the marker - it shows the “track” button in bottom right of the accepted > mission screen

The pulse laser actually has a gimbal you can enable with G and it lets you aim in a small radius, it fires slower with the new update now but it's great for doing the wildlife missions

At the end when you woke up at Area18 you were well outside the respawn range of the NURSA which is only supposed to be 20km.

Hey Olli, for the FPS bounty you were trying to do, the reason you did not see a marker is because you did not tap the "Track" button towards the bottom of the "Accepted" tab in the contracts section of mobiglass (you almost had it though!). I've found it to be a bit annoying that it doesn't track automatically sometimes. Hope you find this info helpful for future missions.

The Aquila comes with an Ursa and a Merlin. It is very much intended. Included CIG making the medical ursa.

This! I have almost upgraded it several times to this one and the andromeda, but feel being solo the tractor beam comes more handy. It's perfect for salvaging, leaving on the pad and bringing RMC back. The struts i've gotten used to, maybe they will put the round glass on all the variants, wouldn't that be something. But with the storage area and the tractor beam, i'm happy! (i have all the constellations in game, and never use the snubs also) I like putting an ursa and a rock in the ship as well :)

When you throw the pulse into a ship, just turn off the engines. You want the shields on or the bike will take damage during flight and do weird things.

If you can't find the ground when approaching planet at nighttime, just ping scan, it will highlight the terrain for a moment 😁

i love my aquila, ive had times where they have disabled my ship and ive run into my snub fighter and gotten out of there and watching my ship blow up or fall to the ground, its pretty cool.

The P-52 Merlin isn't supposed to have the Scorpion GT-215. It is supposed to have a custom gatling cannon from Kruger's line of Tigerstrike cannons. RSI website pledge store lists it as the Kruger Tigerstrike T-19P. Erkul doesn't reflect this currently. Star Citizen wiki doesn't list this in the page for the Merlin. I was able to find the gun on cStone universal item finder though.

I love the light carrier gameplay. The Liberator is the one I am waiting for the most. I want to be able to run a ship as a mobile base and still be able to store cargo from the loot I acquire through my journeys

I think the Ursa might be causing the crashes you saw. I had the same issue last time I used an Ursa in SC. I wanted to use it to deliver 10 boxes at once, but it crashed and abandoned the mission :(

If you can get past the front window, the Phoenix has a vastly wider cargo bay that makes the nursa fit a lot better. Otherwise I have been sitting on my Andromeda to Aquila ccu for a long time, with scanner changes and future additions I think it might actually be time to apply it. Useless top scanner is what's held me back with group gameplay.

@3:37 I thought it was just me. The time you have to get out of the hangar is ridiculous now. I don't understand why it was changed. I didn't even have enough time to move some things from local inventory last night. Ship just vanished in the middle of transferring items. Its infuriating. Luckily I was in my Cutty so I didn't have far to fall.

You needed to pull forward and not up. Then hold N to dock. You can be low under the hole.

I use Connie phoenix with nursa and pulse. You can fit Pulse a slight better in phoenix. And with phoenix you get mor that little home feeling.

If you take a Taurus instead, you can an additional ground vehicle. NUrsa, Pulse and then your choice of Cyclone, STV or ROC. No snub, but it's broken more often than not. Fewer missiles, but same pilot guns as the rest of the Connies. 4x M7As will melt anything.

The reason the auto docking didnt work is that you have to be almost docked, then the square will turn green and the autodock button will appear in the bottom right corner, then you hold N and it will autodock.

I think the workaround for docking if it fails is to fly away from the mother ship and return and try docking again

I have always questioned why there are no landing lights pointing down. Should come on when landing gear is deployed. There is no way that in such a high tech environment, that some engineer would not think of putting lights on the bottom of the ships.

Taurus with a Fury is better than an Aquila with the Merlin. Docking the Merlin is always a nightmare.

As with most things SC, the simplest things never work - auto docking of the snub and not consistently having a marker for your mothership just ruins this setup for me. Plus the snub has such low dps it's very inefficient for real bounties. But interesting video idea

I place the auspicious red on the Aquila, so then it becomes a red eagle. I also place the Invictus blue on the Pheonix... as I don't have the emerald green one, but I do have 10 years insurance on the Pheonix I have. P.s. The only Conni I don't have is the Taurus.

I know you really love the Aquila's windows Olli, me too of course, but do you know if you can fit a ROC miner in the Taurus variation with its larger cargo space? Cause that would legit give you flexibility to do ANYTHING you want in the verse solo except salvage missions which I think is pretty dang neat. Cheers mate! Looking forward to 4.0 and Squadron 42 😁🤙

well Ollie, Hull C pilot here, if you hated that docking reference symbol...you'll love the Hull C cargo abandonment signal that does not leave your screen regardless of ship, shard or server you're in once you get it once.

If you want to find mother ship easy take a box mission, put box on Connie don't complete it and any time you can't find it track box mission and you can see it

Fly 25km away from the connie. After that it should give you permission to dock the snub. It`s a known bug

If your not using the Aquila for combat then you may as well be using the Carrack , better med bed , can carry a much stronger fighter as well as a few different options for ground vehicles , admittedly its a lot more pricey but lets be honest your basically flying star trek Voyager

Good video and representative of the current state. This is ultimately what happens when I play with my buddy after a couple of hours, which is a shame because it takes so long to get a play session going, get a mission and then get to the location with your friends.

It's never worked, not even when they first introduced it. Yet another 'feature' that they implement broken from the beginning.

It kinda works. When you undock the merlin or archimedes you have to fly at least 18-20km away from the connie, otherwise the game still thinks its docked for some reason. Youll know when it happens because like in Ollies video, your landing gear, in the merlin, will go down and wings will fold up, without you pressing anything. After that you can fly back to the ship and dock it. The connie series and the snub fighters need some love

Found the phoenix better for this same rover and bike extra turret and a nicer interior, only downside is the window.

I think the Taurus is still my favorite although I sort of wish they replaced the snub with a tractor turret or something more useful than just removing it. I do like that view though, sort of hoping whatever gold standard they do addresses that a little since the newer ships seem to have no obstructions at all. Also that unguarded elevator in the middle of the room isn't up to OSHA standards. What if you were walking around and suddenly the floor vanished. Very unsafe.

I can't get used to the Merlin being the snub attached to a Connie. Its so out of place with the design of the Connie. I can't like the Merlin at all actually. But a Razer attached there is something I would like to see. The view will get a redesign eventually on all the Connie's. Its going to come down to which is better suited for your gameplay style. So if cash is to be a part of your decision, think it through, on what you plan to use it for in the long run. Andromeda is going to fight better. Aquila is going to explore better. The Taurus makes a better truck. A fury fits on the elevator, with plenty of room to spare if needed. And the Phoenix is the same as Andromeda, with less cargo space, but more flash to impress at parties. Its likely you're never going to see character attributes, like we might be able to view in CP. So that hot tub seems kinda pointless.

I just settled on the same setup except with the Andromeda instead of the Aquila because I'm OK not paying the extra $75 for what, IMO, isn't that much of a better view. Plus with the Nursa there's not much point in the bionus included Ursa. But reguardless, Connie+Nursa is definitely the best combo ATM

Love my Aquila, bought it because it was 3-in-1. Not loving the 3.23.1 version of the Aquila at present. Every time I call it and go to the hanger, the hanger is empty. Return to ASOP and the location of my Aquila is unknown and claimable.

same with me and my andromeda. my friend figured out that if you return to the elevator and call for it the ship will suddenly load in. worth a try at least.

Yeah I've had this problem with other ships as well. Usually if you wait long enough it will finally show up. I've had to wait like 3-4 minutes. A lot of stuff seems to be having a hard time streaming in right now. I've notice Mining Outposts and Bunkers sometimes won't load until you are right on top of them. It seems to be just loading some things extremely slow since 3.23.1 launched.

I tried putting a Pulse into an empty C1 and it blew up. You stuff the Connie with a Nursa and Pulse. No problem, barely an inconvenience xD

I upgraded my Andromeda to the Aquila this past Invictus, but immediately refunded the upgrade because of the scanning turret instead of the gun turret. In hindsight I didn't check to see if I could somehow swap this back to a gun turret...? Anyone know if that's possible? Otherwise, the lack of a top turret and less missiles makes the Aquila < Andromeda to me.

You cannot change the Aquilla scanning turret to a gun turret, it's a key part of its "explorer" reportoire. Andromeda = Combat focuses, Phoenix = Luxury\Travel & Taurus = Cargo - also has the softest shell.

It comes with an URSA and a Merlin plus if they ever progress scanner tech it will have a ton of scanning range from that top turret and will be able to pick up things other ship's scanners may not even see.... Why it's the Expedition Variant.

If you take a look at any recent work on the Polaris, it gives you an idea of what they will likely do to the Connie's cockpit visual in the future. It will get better.

I LOVE the constellation. Hands down best ship in the game except for the cockpit view. IF you can suffer the bad view, the andromeda is on paper the perfect ship. I'm personally praying for a redesign when they do a gold pass. The view on the constellation needs to be fixed and all the MISC ships need a rethinking. I can't imagine any of these ships being designed without pilot visibility being considered.

You should have seen the original Freelancer... They originally had a couple of vertical struts on the cockpit glass. One of them was literally right in front of the pilot and totally obstructed the view straight forward. It was about twice as wide as the ones on the Connie as well. The pilot's crosshair was in the middle of this strut. It was horrible.

It still baffles me that they spent a few million dollars of crowdfunded money on paying Gillian Anderson to appear in the game. A moronic decision that RobertSpaceIndustries should have apologised for. It's not a great look to ask for money to fund the development of your game, and then pay some high profile celebrity some of that money

Unless it was what the backers would expect from Chris Roberts? He's pretty well known for putting actors in his games. Everybody expected this from day one and the backers were pleased with the talent he rounded up for the game. You are the first person I've even heard mention this in years. People expected this from Chris Roberts before they gave him any money as it's just how he makes games.
