Obviously it was never at this level of stage, but I was in the same situation at my highschool state championship recently. I had rolled my ankle pretty badly in my first of 3 jumps before finals and I had to mark atleast a 43' to put myself into top 5 for finals and I just threw myself down the runway and through my phases and I ended up marking 43'4 and the feeling when the official called off the distance was almost euphoric. So I could only imagine how it would feel to do so at the Olympic level!
