Being fast is one thing, being fast while pushing a multi-pound sleigh is another thing. The main disadvantage the Jamaicans have is lack of financing means that they don't get to practice the Russian track as much as the wealthy teams who can afford to setup camp from the day it opens ie. 6 months to 1 year in advance. This is why it is no surprise the Russians won or he Americans did so well in the American winter olympics, etc.
