Olympics is funny, they don't allow anyone else to upload their content would strike anyone who does it, but then never bothers to upload the matches themselves. Tokyo olympics was 3 years ago and only now they decided to create this short highlights version of the full match.

@@pansarbobo7477 totally agree.. wonder how long is the video copyrights for these. More importantly, if they want people to watch more table tennis at Olympics or during regular tournaments live or via internet, putting videos out would be more beneficial rather than delaying it for years.

Imagine this, Olympics not uploading matches from 3 years back and then they don't allow anyone else to do it.

In the chinese olympic ranking, Ma Long is placed third on the rankings with Wang Chuqin in the first and Fan Zhendong in the second. In fact, Ma Long is behind Fan Zhendong by 3000 points. There has also been rumours that the ranking collection period is ending soon. If Ma Long were to be allowed to participate over FZD even though ranking wise he is very much behind just so that he could have an unguaranteed chance to create history then CTTA is truly a non-democratic organization in self-destruct mode. Besides, I see absolutely no chance for Ma Long to defend his Olympic Gold. Yes he had an amazing World Cup journey, but just look, Felix Lebrun pushed him to six sets, Togami as well. These are not even Olympic competitors. Plus he already lost to Lee Sangsu which he never lost to for 12 years, then lost to Franziska twice in a row, making Franziska one of the very few foreigners to defeat Ma Long repeatedly. Plus, he almost flopped in the last olympics, nearly lost to ovtcharov despite having a dominant H2H of 19 wins 0 losses.

FZD lost against Hugo (March 2024), Lee Sangsu (Nov 2023), Alexis Lebrun (Apr 2023), Cho Daeseong (March 2023), Dimitrij (Oct 2022) in past 2 years. On the other hand, Ma Long never lost to A. Lebrun, Dimitrij, Hugo. Ma Long did lost to Patrick, Lee Sangsu, LYJ in past 2 years. It's a pity that the Olympic only allows 2 singles from each country cause it will be interesting to see top 3 chinese against top 3 germany in Men single division.
