My guess on Ugandan team tactics is the following: Kissa runs out hard. Everyone else tries to follow, while Cheptegei and Kiplimo stay at the back (which they did). The rest blows up because they went way too fast while Cheptegei and Kiplimo run past everyone!

10k hardest event in Olympics, alot of courage on display here, very proud of Grant Fisher, but Aregawi had so much courage kept fighting at back all race then worked his way up 1 at a time, came up one short of medal.

funny how no one even bothers mentioning the australian athlete clearly in trouble then completely collapsing in the home straight at 34:41, in full view of the cameras. unless you're in the top 3, you don't exist, message received. looks like he was ok in the end.

Yeah very disappointing especially when we can clearly see it. He was going great and in the top 10 with 300m to go but must of really blown up badly and shows that when he fell with less than 50m ..very gutsy to keep going.

Great competition. Great finishing by Selemon Barega. In my local language the word Barega means "they strech"😅. You've won but they've nevertheless stretched your muscles. Many thanks to Cheptegei and Kiplimo for bringing us silver medal and bronze medal home👏👏

Especially Barega he purposely went in front of the group to close the gap with Kissa and then laid back down to the back when the gap was closed and when the time came he let it all out what a genius! 🇪🇹
