Today he skated this program at the Russian Championship’s opening ceremony ( not full of course, just a part of it ) BUT! how he did it😭 i just… it made me feel nostalgic🫠

Watched it live in 2002, returned numerous times every year since it was uploaded on youtube 17 years ago, and will probably continue to do so forever. just happy i now get to watch it in better quality!

I still think Victor Petrenko’s triple axle at the ‘88 Olympics was and is the biggest ‘highest Ive ever seen….but Kurt Browning’s are huge too…

Yuzuru Hanyu had 3 Axel hight 75 cm or maybe even 78 cm... And of course with the most difficult entry, back counter.

I love ❤ Aleksey, he was the most amazing skater of his generation. Too bad his career was cut short - he was suffering from congenital hip joint issues and he had to undergo double hip replacement surgery. It's a miracle he managed to skate at all, yet he reached such a level of excellence.

legendary! a truly special skater! I get the impression yuzuru hanyu was inspired by his step sequences/ footwork (I think he also said that Yagudin was his hero)

Прошли годы, время всех расставило по своим местам. "Зима" Ягудина недосягаемо стоит первой и будет стоять. Сошлось всё: юноша, мужчина, страсть, порыв, сила, азарт, "огонь сияющий в сосуде".

Nooooo. I dont like this footwork. Now we have high quality step sequence. Deep edges and very difficult steps. Yagudin did only toe steps, very easy for skater. And he made a milion of hole on the ice. Maybe another skaters had problem with edge jump like salchow or loop, bc this jumps need clean ice without hole. Especially quad salchow and quad loop.

Даже тогда, когда не было никаких войн, русским результаты занижали! За такое катание 5.7? Вы о чëм? Видно, что Тарасова недовольна , и правильно! Американцу или европейцу поставили бы наивысший балл. Наших никому не было возможности обойти, и даже при таких оценках мы лучшие!!! ❤шедевр!

Все таки отдельные сограждане нашей необъятной явно страдают паранойей. - Ягудину занизили оценки, патамушта он русский! - Но он же выиграл Олимпиаду в Америке, а второе место занял еще один русский спортсмен! 0_о - Нас никто не любит! - Как это никто не любит? Посмотрите на реакцию публики! - Это все фальшивое! На Западе вообще фальшивые улыбки. Вы шибанутые, дорогие соотечественники. И вот именно таких с манией величия за границей никто не любит! Вы - позор России.

@@Victoria29112 посмотри выступление -" человек в железной маскe",, какую вторую оценку поставили украинцы и болгары?, хотя европейцы оценили в 6,0.. Уже тогда "братки'" , да и всегда " дышали" ненавистью.

A whole lot of smoke breaks in this program with throwing up that ice again and again. And the opening pantomime. I guess he was the inspiration for the Dani G school of picking up ringing telephones and muffled/covered ears. Apart from the jumps, the program is pretty vacuous.
