@@alena9012 well no one is hating on anyone... nor is anyone "showing off" . I wrote about yuzu, shoma, cha etc just cuz i stan them n they are my personal faves. @@alena9012 He actually often avoids talking about his health issues during comps because he knows people (like you) will say he's making excuses. When he had an asthma attack at Worlds he only talked about it after a Russian doctor told the press, and he still said it wasn't an excuse for his performance. At Beijing he avoided questions about his ankle until after the free. It was a serious injury. But I can forgive you for not realising that what with how well he skated after. Perhaps you're mistaking the media and audience's overwhelming interest in him as him talking about himself.

@lollypop24142 жыл бұрын
He doesn't have the technical starting value that Nathan Chen and the Japanese men have in their programs (in other words they do more difficult quads and/or combos). That's why he has a difficult time breaking the 100 point mark in his SP.
@ttiiopp5245 Жыл бұрын
@@lollypop2414 it is true but you cannot deny the fact that his nationality has some impact on his score lol. I am not taking about THIS event, but if you consider US or other European players getting overrated PCSs, kinda feel bad for him not breaking 100 here, cuz he would have with other nationalities I mentioned above for sure
@lollypop2414 Жыл бұрын
@@ttiiopp5245 I went and looked at Jun's SP scores for the past couple seasons. They're pretty fair. He's only doing 1 quad in his sp. All of the men scoring over 100 are doing 2 quads in their sp. His quad is 4S, which is one of the lower scoring quads. Other skaters scoring higher are doing 4Lz or 4F in their sp, which are worth more. Also, Jun has issues with his 3A technique which lowers his goe for that jump often. There may be a few times he's deserved a bit higher pcs, but technically I think his scores seem fair. I'm a fan of Jun, and would love to see him pass the 100 mark in the sp,but I don't see evidence that he's being scored unfairly. I do believe that some skaters get overscored pcs simply because they have high tech ability which isn't fair, and I do think the judges play favorites in all the skating disciplines. I don't think Jun's getting any extra favors, but also don't think he's getting intentionally shafted either.

💖🥰🥰 Ganbatte Yuzu!!

Looking forward to Yuma Kagiyama's future performances. The Japanese skaters are wonderful to watch. Yuzuru will always have a place in skating history and will always be a legend. That's the sad thing but very realistic thing about sports life. You can only be the greatest in your own era because the sports will always outgrow the sportmen. Regardless of who we are fans of, we should be aware that better skaters will come in the future and outperform our idols. But we are to celebrate the greatness of the moment. For now, Nathan is outperforming his challengers. Really enjoyed his program. Let him enjoy his time and let us not begrudge him. He has earned it. I like Sheerin's mature view....big enough to congratulate the winner and faithful enough to mourn for his idol. I wish Yuzuru well and that he will continue to contribute towards the sports. Here's to more and greater exploits and wonderful performances to come for all skaters! Thank you for the joy and excitement that you all bring to the sports.

Jason came as 8th in TES, whereas Morisi placed 4th. This shows that Morisi's program was technically way more difficult. On the other hand, Jason had the 2nd highest PCS - and well deserved! - whereas Morisi placed 9th, also coherent. As a result, their TSS was very close - it just reflects their placements in the two segments.

Not sure what people see in Shoma's skating, it doesn't capture me at all. Yuzuru is nice to watch, Nathan is smooth perfection, but Cha is the real deal to me! Had to rewind and re-watch just for my mind to really absorb the beauty of what was unfolding before my eyes. Honestly, if you set aside Cha's low base value, he actually is a superior skater to all of the others, including Nathan.

The edited version of Yuzuru's short program is smooth even though we could sense he was a bit nervous before the performance. We feel the same way as Yuzuru's afterwards. Nevertheless, Yuzuru performed very well in the later Olympic figure skating gala. We could tell Yuzuru has moved on and have succeeded again. Go for it, Yuzuru. We can't wait to see your next competition. 😎👍
