The song is to show the journey of Shantipriya (Deepika's character)delivering hits. So it made sense to show her in the hits of era and the actors who starred in them.

This movie has great songs. " Karan Arjun" is another reincarnation movie with SRK and Salman Khan playing brothers. You guys will love the songs in that one too.

Have you concentrate on drums and mixing of all instruments. Laxmikant Pyarelal are my favorites and number 1 in my list, have composed more than 400 movies, have composed from 1960 to 1997 till death of Laxmikant. Will suggest to review on them.

maybe you felt it dragging because you didn't understood some of the references and it felt flat for you. I think you should revisit the movie some day and you may actually enjoyed it more

The lyrics are good I think the translation isn't done well as it missed the mark at many points. The subtitles aren't timed well. For example the line "Darling, The love in my heart is true" *truth is a typo* It should actually be Darling, you don't know much love there is in my heart.
