I have the TG--6 and I love it. This is the exact same camera, I was hoping for a real update. I am giving you a thumbs up because you did a better job on the review than Olympus did on updating the camera.

@@georgeeharrison4293 hopefully so! I think it has 7x zoom in the microscope mode too rather than the 4x of the tg6! £500 is pretty expensive though so I feel a DSLR with a macro lens is possibly cheaper

I have had numerous tg models over the years and currently have the tg6. My main issue with them is the screen washes out in sunlight. Has been my backup camera for years. It isn’t a pro camera and you have to realize that but still does great.

Well done video. How good is the autofocus in difficult situations, e.g. over water against the sun in tele zoom? I have a fuji outdoor camera that makes good pictures but loses focus in tele and sunlight on the water. Thanks

This is a rebranded camera, I'd buy a tg-5 or 6 and get the exact same experience. This is the effect of making a great product, it's difficult to make it better

how did you process the raw files? was the review only shot with jpeg? it looks like no software can open the files since the profile isn't available. even in Olympus's own software.
