Felt this way seeing the Niners in the NFC championship last year. Was looking forward to that game- it was such a good matchup. Too bad many Eagles fans were shitty about it… but Philly’s gunna Philly I guess. Obviously the two scenarios are different in a lot of ways as well I get that lol. But Anyone who wasn’t disappointed isn’t a true fan of football. Btw, back in 2008, maybe 09, I went up to Buffalo to watch them play against the niners(I’m from CT, catching a niners game wasn’t easy unless I went to SF). Absolutely pathetic game, 3-0 niners lmao. Also was sleeting, so we just got wasted. But I had so so much fun with the Bills Mafia at the end of the game. Went crawling up this muddy steep hill just outside the stadium that a few of us tried to scale before sliding back down lmao. It was a good time. Wish all fans could be as fun as that.

As a fellow long-suffering fan of the Lions, you'd think I'd take some sick pleasure in this, but not even close. Was excited to see him ball out for the Jets, now that he was in another conference far away from my Lions. Glass half full, if the injury was going to happen I guess the earlier the better. The Jets now have to figure out if Wilson can get mashed in to form with Rodgers playing the part of coach, or if they can possibly pull a solid veteran out of retirement. This Jets team is absolutely stacked with talent on both sides, and can still be a playoff team and contender, they proved that last night.

@godfather437710 ай бұрын
@@xrumich3896 LOL. WRONG. “It’s very common for people to say, ‘How do you run? Doesn’t that ruin your knees?’” says Steven Mayer, MD, a physician in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Northwestern Medicine Orthopaedics. “There have been several recent studies that have debunked that myth. In fact, they have shown the opposite - that running tends to be protective of knee arthritis.” from the health Harvard: "The knees absorb a lot of force when running, so many people think that running itself can accelerate the natural wear and tear on the joints. But in fact, the medical research tends to show that running has a protective effect against arthritis. Studies of large numbers of men show that recreational runners have a lower risk of hip and knee arthritis. This effect is partly explained by the lower body weight of these men. Other studies that measure knee cartilage suggest that running may stimulate cartilage to grow, not wear it out." Running with an injury, that's different. Of course someone should consult with their doctor. Or any joint disease. Like arthritis.
@latinolawdog506710 ай бұрын
Running is ATROCIOUS on your feet and joints as you get in your 40’s and 50’s. You will end up having a hip and/or knee replaced sooner or later. @traumamed944910 ай бұрын
Agree, but Rodgers didn't even have a chance to do that. In slow motion you can see his Achilles rupture (calf muscle retracts and heel goes down) as his left cleat catches on the CrapstroTurf, before Floyd even really had a good grip on him - around the waist and nowhere near the legs or feet at all. This was turf-induced combined with 9+ years of degenerative Achilles tendinopathy.

@MetalJT24 Often, when a person strains their Achilles, they look around like they got hit with a rock. With KD, you can see his calf just roll up to his knee. This one was tougher to catch. It is a non-contact injury where the Achilles just decides to disengage from the Calcaneus. Result: Season over

Achilles tendons are usually damaged from excess tension during ankle flexion. Front of his cleat became stuck square under him, and too much weight was leveraged against the flexed ankle by the defender. (Basically, the defender's weight pressed Rodger's heel to the turf when it wasn't supposed to be able to.) Could have happened to anyone.

It’s unfortunate, but not unusual for guys who don’t get enough reps during the preseason. The speed of the game during the regular season is different, which is why Brady and Mahomes always played meaningful minutes in the preseason. That way, they could hit the ground running on opening day. Hope it’s just an ankle sprain.
