Till 70's indian rupee was valid in oman. Indian rupee was valid in the coastal area. The present sultan's father was a student of our former president of india Dr shankar dayal sharma. When our president visited oman the then sultan broke the protocol and drove the car for our president from the airport to the palace.

I love Muscat ! Alwayazzzzz in my whole GCC Experience , Also Public transport are very less in Oman comparatively Dubai and Kuwait.. So prefer Taxi. . Oman is a very good country & Omanis are very good and cultured people , Experience Udipi Hotel in Ruwi area (Mysore Masal Dosa) 😄

Super excellent video coverage Ajay. Abudhabi Airport vera leVEL. Oman Airport also Top class. People are so friendly. Glad you got POORI AND KIZHANGU In Chettinadu Restaurant. It is really nice that there are no HIgh rise buildings in Muscat. They have also given importance to Nature by Planting Trees. Noted from your narration that there is less of pub;ic transport as more people use cars or Cabs. While you were going in the cab the Mountain view is really amazing. Hi Ajay: very nice video of Oman! Would definitely love to see more of this country that is ancient and also has a lot of natural beauty. I would any day prefer a place like Oman with its simple and kind hearted people to the false glitter of places like Dubai which seem quite shallow where money rules.

Oman has the grave of 7th century king Cheraman Perumal who became Muslim and whose order the first mosque was constructed in India (Kodungalore). On his way back to India he died in Oman and got buried there.

Hi brother . Welcome to Oman. I’m working in Oman for past 5 years. It’s a most underrated tourist destination, there’s a lot of places to visit but I would be better to have own vehicle or rental car. Peaceful and one of the safest places in the world. Local peoples treat us well with somuch respect.

@@Transitbites On the month of june, July and August please try to visit Salalah in Oman. You’ll get flights from Muscat, Dubai and Abudhabi. There are also buses from Muscat, but it’s a very long journey like around 10 hrs ( 1100 kms ). Must visit tourist spot in Oman. It’s even called as Queen of Gulf.

@@Transitbites In the month of June, July , August please try to visit Salalah in Oman. You’ll get direct flights from Muscat, Dubai and Abudhabi. There are buses available from Muscat (rusyal) but it’s a pretty long journey like around 11 to 12 hours ( 1100 kms) . It’s a must visit place in Oman, and it’s even called as Queen of Gulf. In these months the city will be heavy crowded as more peoples will visit the place from entire GCC to experience the climate there.

If a masjid is nearby labor camp, that doesn't mean its for labors. Even owners will pray there only. If its a Friday afternoon prayer everyone will gather in big masjid. It gives a sense of unity

There is no such thing as a separate mosque for Saudi Arabians or a separate mosque for the people of other countries. Everyone can pray in any mosque and all places of worship.
