I always loved this track. It's the musical version or sound of electricity at the start of the track. Everything can be turned into a musical tone...this always hits the right spot!. The old tracks are the best.

I think it was their first hit. They went to an old red telephone box to get their band promoted, gigs, etc. and it is now a national feature in their home town.

I was born in 73 and was into hip hop and rap in the 80s and so a lot of 80s music passed me by.I knew of the bands names but just not their music,so now im finally discovering band like omd.Also tears for fears are another band im liking too.Love this track and so many others of theris,the keys in this is so good.They sound amazing live.

Have seen them in the 80s and more recently. Will be seeing them again at Leeds. Still as relevant today as 40 years ago. One of my all time favourites and their first UK hit.

Their 1st proper gig was supporting Numan on his Touring Principle tour in Glasgow Apollo. There was only 2 of them and a reel 2 reel tape recorder. Andy in his kicker boots and long hair 😁😁
