Hello Sir! in OMDM reactions, why doesnt the acetic acid which is formed by gaining H(plus) released by water molecule(generally) reacts with the basic medium in the second step ? Also if we add OH grp to say 1 mol double bond then it would require 1mol Hg(OAc)2 which would ultimately yield two moles of acetic acid which is a fair amount to react with anything else.. Thankyou sir!

Even if it reacts it will still remain a bad nucleophile as the lone pair is in resonance. The real logic has been explained in the video

Sir, I am so many lecture back and may not be able to complete every chapter of this Organic series of urs before Mains first attempt, but I want to tell u that u should not be any fast or might skip several things in order to complete Organic syllabus before Jee mains first attempt(U usually don't, but if such situation comes). Bcz I am totally depend on these lectures of urs for Mains + Adv. Agar jee main first attempt se pehle saara syllabus cover naa bhi kar paayein, uske baad sincerely kar linge but I don't want to lack any concept sir. I love ur teaching style and u r teaching very well. Love from Kashmir ❤❤
