The silver dial is the most unique and original of all the Seamaster colorways in my opinion. When you wear a silver dial Seamaster, there's no mistaking what your wearing. What other watch looks like a silver dial Seamaster?

The white dial/black bezel is my favorite combo.... holy crap tbat thing is fire!

My next watch is the Seamaster 300M (2018) in black. I am also planning on buying a OMEGA black/grey "Bond" NATO strap. Great video as always, Bruce!

The pictures that Omega has on their website of the silver dial do not do this watch justice. I was convinced that my next purchase would be the blue 300M but after seeing your videos on this piece I'm now torn (thanks Bruce). I absolutely love mine. Wasn't a fan of the bracelet so I got it on the black rubber strap. And I'm definitely in the minority, but I like the HEV at 10 o'clock. It's signature Omega.

I'm going to just say it... I would rather wear this than many Rolex Subs... (and pocket the extra money).

Hi Bruce, it's funny you mentioned the sharp edges of the braclet, it's the same with the steel bracelet of the Globemaster. It's a shame Omega doesn't tapper the braclet as it always looks more refined in my opinion. Also Randon Rob did point out the sharp drop from the lug to the braclet where some people may fill it looks odd.

I was looking at this for this summer and ended up seeing and getting a new superocean 42 instead at the last minute. No regrets. I like the seamaster but the superocean suited me better.

Gee, 4000 $ US seems like a steal. I just bought the blue version with steel bracelet (loving it for its easy adjustability) today and paid 5700 euro (almost 6300 $ US) That is the recommended price here in Europe at the moment. But I don't care it's not an investment; it's just a very nice watch which wears smaller than the numbers would indicate.

The silver was just okay until I realized that the hands weren’t painted blue but rather blue chromed color. Really breathtaking in person. As a bonus, the silver is usually the less chosen version so deals are quite prevalent.

My Seamaster Tokyo arrived. Wow. The same blue but white dial.

I also think the bracelet and clasp have overly sharp edges and sound jangly when shaken. I expressed this opinion on a watch group on FB and people acted like it was heresy! They insinuated that I'd bought a fake Omega. All as I'm saying is that the Tudor Royal and Breitling Professional 3 bracelets are nicer in my opinion.

Loved your seamaster 300 and 600m reviews. Could you maybe compare all the seamaster colors including some of the gold+steel ones? Also maybe a few more planet oceans including the orange bezel chronograph with a grey dial?

I know it’s about a grand cheaper, but I like the 4 o’clock crown position of The Marinemaster 300. Once I bought Seiko divers I’m a bit reluctant of purchasing regular 3 o’clock crown positions watches. They always dig on my hand.

Just tried one on today, absolutely stunning watch. Perfect size for me, big guy, big wrists. There is absolutely nothing about the watch I don’t like, tried on all sorts of alternatives, none came close. Ok so the Glasshutte original panoreserve I tried on completeLy blew it out of the water, but that a very different watch in a completely different league.

I did the same when it came out but then the blue hit me and without doubt it’s the best diver I’ve had

This watch is really amazing. I've tried on a chrome dial at an AD and I loved it. If it was a 39mm it would have been one of the best watches ever! 42mm is a little too big for my taste on my 7.08 inches (18cm) wrist. But anyway it's one of my favorite watches.

Ordered mine 2 days ago. So excited to hold it in my hands. I am bad at waiting tho! 😁

Sold the Blue a while back . If I remember correctly the watch lines are too sharp for my liking. From the case to the bracelet, the edges are little bit sharp. But amazing watch nonetheless.

I knew I was getting a Seamaster but after your video last week I got the Chrome, sooooo good on the bracelet, very extroverted watch, it’s all Hollywood while my BB Bronze is all Napa Valley. The only thing that the BB Bronze has over this watch is the action of the bezel, everything else is in another league. No wonder this is the watch all the Rolex fanboys ignore or hate

The way you talk about this particular version of the seamaster makes me appreciate it. I prefer the white or black dial though. The seamaster is really nice. I think about buying a watch. I got the Rolex explorer on my wrist. It was not for me. Didn't like it. The Submariner was better. But maybe I go with a rootbeer in the end...or something complete different. Haha. Cool Intro! SMP is a great watch. My winner ist the black one on rubber. Second the blue. You are right, the bracelet is a bit sharp and for my taste it would be look better, if it’s tapers down. Why rubber? First, it looks good and second, with bracelet the watch is a bit to heavy hole day on the wrist for me.

Gorgeous and imho - most importantly, created with a very carefully thought out melding of both classic and contemporary design elements which will allow this watch to achieve a timeless design status. At this point - the escape valve and handset are a critical piece of Seamaster history and identity - and if thought of as such - will give the piece , a more special , more important and interesting place in horological design . This might be totally erased without these elements. The purpose, history and thought behind the design is what makes any piece special - the more you relate to these things - the more you will enjoy and appreciate the piece itself. This often can help guide your decisions. Great review - thank you. 👍.

I am torn between what I think of the hands. They are very good looking, but perhaps the gap should be filled with lume (for legibility also)

For 4K this watch is well worth that price and your right I spent $3250 for my BB58 and I absolutely loved it BUT for $750 more I may have considered the Seamaster. What I like about the BB58 is that it’s more subdued than the Seamaster and the dimensions are absolutely perfect.

Dam you lol , you started a movement in my head lol . I have the black SM 300 with the mesh omega bracelet. I think it looks very elegant, the red Seamaster & the red on the second hand I really love . But yours is stunning I bet the contrast of the bezel in person makes it pop . But I least for a consolation price I have the Omega Aqua Terra in the same silver & blue color scheme . I think you Seamaster is a better combo because of the bezel , if I could do it over I would get you Seamaster instead and a shades collection Aqua Terra

Just purchased the black dial version 2 weeks ago and can’t stop looking at the dial. I’ve never had a watch seem so 3-dimensional. Not sure about the complaints on the size, I have a 7in wrist and seems to fit fine.

I really like it, I'm gonna think about getting one and it's your fault because my list of watches to get keeps on expanding! what's the function of the helium escape valve anyway?why doesn't the Submariner have one? is there helium in the watch in the first place or does diving somehow puts helium into the watch? I've never dived (wanna try, though) so I don't know.

I saw the black, the blue and the chrome next to each other at the AD and immediately went for the blue. The others look good, but the blue is really special (petrol-ish) and in a league of its own...

I love how this watch looks on the rubber strap but I believe a diver should also come with a strong bracelet and IMO the bracelet on this one is it’s weak point. If it were a different style and tapered, that would be a game changer.

Must of gotten an unbelievable price for this piece. This color is the hardest to sell according to several ad’s I know. But hey, to each his own.

The design of this watch is absolutely stunning and I understand what you mean about getting the pleasure from looking at it. I don’t know why, but you do not get that from a rolex. My only issue with this watch is, that I am now used to seeing the inside wall with “Rolex” and when I see Omega it is just empty.

How does this compare to the Submariner ? I've been holding out for 4years to get the opportunity to buy a submariner (new from and AD). I am however starting to feel like that will never happen and that AD's just are not willing to sell these watches unless you have a past portfolio of buying undesirable pieces from them. I tried one of these guys on and I loved it - my wife however felt like I was just giving up and that Omega makes great watches but they are 2nd Rate to Rolex ( I don't agree). Can you wear this watch with a suite and tie ? will it fit under a cuff (one of the things I love about the sub is the versatility). I am curious how this movement stacks up to the 3132/3135 Rolex as well.
